When I use needle nose pliers, I usually use a long pair of pliers, but I find that this tool can reach farther. . . . I like the hook's lock feature, which allows you to leverage (twist) the hook according to your needs.

The quality is excellent. I found the locking feature to be overly efficient for my needs. Small leaves and debris that accumulate in potted plants can be easily removed with them. I was slowed down by the locks (since they should) which is what they should do. To solve the problem, I simply used my bench grinder to grind down and smooth the locking part.

Despite its rough finish, the finish is quite appealing. An out-of-round burr is on the tip of one of the jaws, and I'll have to remove it. Jaws do not seem to mesh well together.
