No, I doubt it. Anything made of stainless steel that has been tampered with. Has a looser grip than the others. From what I've seen, it appears to be the case.

I've used a lot of hemostats, and this is one of the best. It can grip very small objects because the teeth lock in very precisely. It easily compares to some of the higher-end hemostats I have at work, but at a fraction of the price.
I like the color and the fact that it is sturdy. There is a slight issue. It reminds me of a triangle made out of paper clips. They'll pop open once you've put it down. When it lets go of what it's holding, it's a pain. It's even better if it's illuminated!.

Pulls out the backed-out string on sweatpants and workout shorts with ease.
For fishing, I needed an extra pair of shoes. There are no issues with this product.
These were only used a few times by me. They bent easily, and the last time I tried to use them, they simply snapped apart, indicating that they are of poor quality and not long-lasting. I'm annoyed that I won't be able to return them.
