This item was purchased to aid in the reading of ECGs in a paramedic class. This is an excellent tool for plotting out the P-shaped path. R-waves and To determine whether a wave pattern is regular or irregular, look at the consistency of the waves. It's also helpful in determining the length of the p-sequence. To diagnose heart blocks and ventricular rhythms, use the T wave and QRS complex. br>br>Overall, this is a fantastic tool that is incredibly simple to use! I keep it on me during hospital clinicals and in the field as a reference point for EMS. It's also reasonably priced, and I got a lot of use out of mine.
This is a high-quality construction with some weight to it. Even with a full-length protective sleeve, it fits comfortably in my coat pocket. As a doctor, I've been reading EKGs with calipers since 1994, and these are by far the nicest calipers I've ever used.
It's convenient, inexpensive, and it gets the job done. One of the small points on mine isn't quite as snug as the other. I was able to get them back even and tighten the screw with an eyeglasses screw driver, but it's still not as snug in there as the other side. It shouldn't be a problem, and I'd still buy them again.
This comes with a very nice holder - It attaches to a uniform and keeps it accessible and secure. My only criticism is that the points were not securely fastened, necessitating the use of a jeweler's Philips screwdriver to tighten them. It's a simple fix, but it does necessitate a certain amount of torque - The job can't be done with a cheap jeweler's screwdriver.
I've bought a few calipers (I always seem to lose them) and they work better for me. They have the right amount of tension and don't sag. The case secures the device and allows it to be clipped to a pocket, reducing the likelihood of it being misplaced. This is the first caliper I would consider purchasing again. Others have been subpar thus far.
I was so upset when I accidentally left them at work (but a coworker found them and put them up for me). I like how long they are because it makes it easier for me to see exactly where to measure my intervals. They're extremely durable and simple to operate.
I'm a PA student in my first semester, and I'm taking an EKG diagnostics course, so I'm constantly using my calipers.
This tool, along with others, has been extremely beneficial to my daughter as she attends school. I haven't asked her all of the questions about the tool, but I am giving it four stars because it allows her to advance her career during these difficult times. I'm a handyman who uses calipers and dividers for a variety of tasks.
