It isn't quite strong enough to dig with. (I misshaped my tip a few times due to rough cystic material.) However, it is sharp enough to scratch one layer at a time into the skin (without digging). This is beneficial to ED patients. As well as C. For fine work (tip stays constant shape) or when cleaning up borders, I prefer solid stainless steel, but I think it's a good tool for flattening out a surface or removing a couple of layers. br>Do exercise caution. Because it is razor-sharp, glide it across the surface with light pressure to achieve excellent results. Once it cuts into the skin, it's easy for it to 'dive' downward. br>I hope this information is useful. br>(I've also used it to remove warts, clean wound beds and edges, and even remove deep splinters.)
