It isn't as curved as you might think. It's about a 15-degree angle, according to my calculations.

Bathtub Drains Can Be Cleaned With This Product
5/5

Although this is far from the product's intended use, I thought I'd mention it in case anyone else was looking for something to do the same thing. These are what I use to get into the tub drain and pull out large clumps of hair that have become stuck. I know it's gross, but it's life; I have a bad habit of allowing the drain to clog up until it barely drains at all, at which point using those plastic snake things becomes impossible due to the dense clog. I tried other methods to get down there, but none of them provided me with enough length or grip. It finally dawned on me one day! Forceps! I went straight to my bathtub the day these arrived, clipped them to the hair in the drain, and out came an embarrassingly large clump of hair all at once. It was as if I'd stepped into a whole new world of drain unclogging. Rather than digging and pulling and only getting a small portion of the clog at a time, these babies cleared almost the entire clog in one go. I can't recommend these highly enough for this purpose, despite the fact that I have never used them for their intended purpose and am unlikely to do so in the future. They've been tucked away in my toolbox and will serve as drain uncloggers for the rest of my life.

This isn't even close to being EMT-level
3/5

For the Trauma kit, I purchased two curved Kelly forceps; The one is nearly EMT quality, with jaws that approximate each other and a clamp that closes properly - the other is not. The other has jaws that aren't exactly the same, and the grinding/buffing was pretty aggressive, thinning out one jaw, so it's not exactly the same side-to-side. side, and possibly weakened as a result of it. One is destined for the real world, while the other is destined for my basement, where it may prove useful- ish. On both, the polishing is sub-par. In contrast to my professional set, this one is quite good. These are something I would not buy again.

Better than the majority of forceps available for purchase by the general public

UPDATE: The hinges on these will rust. I'm guessing that the hinge pin isn't made of stainless steel. After fishing in clear, clean freshwater, I forgot to take them out and dry them overnight, and they had rusted. They're fine if you don't do anything stupid, but how much would a stainless steel hinge pin have cost? I've reduced the stars to three. They're fine, but they're not what they claim to be.
- br>When I'm flying, I use Kelly Forceps. fishing. They're supposed to be used to release a fish without removing it from the water, but I've been using mine to pull hooks out of my thumb lately. br>br>These are far superior to the forceps they're replacing in terms of quality. They have a nice texture to them. As others have mentioned, there are no "grinding marks" - They have a nice shine to them as well. They're thicker and more durable than the pair they're replacing. The pivot is well-built; The serrations on the jaws are evenly spaced and square. They are replacing a pair that I paid a higher price for - "Veterinarian grade" is a term used to describe the quality of a product. that was twisted I was bent over, yanking a tiny size 22 hook from my thumb. These are far superior. br>br> They come highly recommended from me.

These are perfect for pulling dogs' ear hair

I'm a dog groomer and needed a good pair to replace the pair I lost. They are ridged to provide a secure grip. Anyone would benefit from these.

The item appeared to have been used and was of poor quality
3/5

These were ordered so that I could remove my nipple piercings without having to see a professional. They arrived quickly, which is about the only positive aspect I can think of about them. The disadvantages are that there are small chips in the metal, as if they were poorly made, and there are chinks all over the metal that have either been chipped away or are missing. Something appeared to be stuck to the hinges. The locking mechanism is a pain to use because it gets stuck on itself, and it almost got stuck shut while on my piercings, making it painful to unclamp them from the barbell. I disinfected them before using them, but they still became stuck. It did its job of keeping the barbell in place so I could remove them, which is the only reason I won't bother returning them, but these aren't the best.

The quality is terrible
3/5

These. I didn't buy these for medical use (but I work in healthcare, so I know how they should look/handle/feel), but rather to pluck our dogs' ears, and they are possibly the worst Kelly's I've ever encountered. The metal they're made of is 'chalky' (it's hard to describe, but the metal has an ashy residue that comes off the clamps) and the scissoring mechanism (joint that opens and closes the clamps) doesn't work smoothly, making it difficult to even clamp them shut. I'm guessing it has something to do with the poor quality of the materials (e. g. The metal's 'chalkiness'). As a result, using the clamps is more difficult than usual. I wouldn't recommend using these on any kind of living creature. These could be useful for hobby purposes (though I'm not sure what kind of hobby).

Good
5/5

As a former Firefighter and EMT I decided to assemble an EMB by purchasing the majority of the items from Amazon. I hope I never have to use this tool to cut an artery or vein in an emergency, but it's a cheap tool that could save a life. All of the items in the photos were purchased on Amazon.

MISINFORMATION! The phrase "precision" should be removed from Amazon LLC's website
3/5

MISREPRESENTATION! The term "precision" should be removed from the description by Amazon LLC. I bought a pair, but these forceps aren't exactly precise; the tips are jagged and misaligned, making it difficult to grasp something precisely. I had previously purchased more accurate forceps from an electronic store.
