BUY THESE! That's what I will say. A Foley needs to be worn for about 10 days or so in order to allow a false passage to heal (being paraplegic is fun) and I am in a situation where I CANNOT use a leg or bed bag. My only option was to come up with a solution that would be creative. My insurance didn't cover me which meant everything had to be done on my own anyway so I didn't have to deal with doctors explaining why their more expensive way was better than mine. So, I have my Foley in, I removed the clear sleeve, and I was therefore able to attach this directly to the funnel tip of the Foley, so I do not need to use I only have to clean the tip with an alcohol swab and open the valve to do this. The waste is emptied every four hours and I have not had any issues with it for three days. Keeping them in one place has been a great help to me, it is perfect for what I need. My experience with this service has been excellent, as the price is right and the product arrives sterile.

This is the kind of thing I really like. They are a little bit smaller than the Bard brand, but they work in the same way. Earlier I was using the Bard brand, but I saved a few bucks by trying these five in a box. Every 7 days, valves are supposed to be replaced As of now, I have been using two of the five valves in the box. No issues or problems to report so far. Their work is exactly as it should be. There was one thing in particular that I found very nice about the packaging materials that came with It has now been nine months since I was fitted with a SP Tube catheter. It would have been helpful if I had been shown at least some of the instructions provided with these valves 9 months ago My UTIs would have likely been less frequent if I had not taken antibiotics! was never any instruction provided with the Bard brand (or by my physicians). Please know that if you find yourself in a situation where you may have to live with a catheter (SPT or Foley) for a long period of time - that there are some steps you can take to help yourself. It will make things easier for you if you use these valves. In other words, if you are like me and do not want to wear a urine bag all day long! The urine collection bag will be replaced by these Your catheter will slip right over the tip of the device. Using this approach, you are able to use the urinal or bathroom and void in an almost normal manner. As a result, you will also be able to keep your pelvic and bladder muscles active.

On Amazon, I came across these UGO valves and I was starting to panic. It's amazing how much better and smaller these UGO valves are compared to the old valves! much more discreet under clothing, as well as being MUCH easier to open and close (every day, all night long! There is a large number of leaky valves in products such as flow. My life will never be the same since finding these, I will never go back to the Bard flip-flop There is no limit to the flow of information A big thank you to UGO! A great product at an extremely fair price. If you have worn catheters much of your life and have used a plug or a flip flow, try these valves! It's great to have them!.

There's a great deal more power in this valve than in A smaller product is less likely to be caught in clothing, dig into skin, or show through clothing, and so is less likely to catch or open accidentally. Despite being a good product, it does not have a good method of connecting the catheter to a drainage bag, and it lacks a secure, one-way closure system Bacteria are prevented from traveling up a catheter with the use of this device. You must connect the valve to the overnight bag using a small, clear tube. However, the valve and the overnight bag are difficult to connect, based on the type of catheter you use. This can lead to contamination as you ensure the two items are connected and disconnected Thus far, I have not had a leak or an accidental opening. In an ideal world, I would like to have a catheter system with an integrated valve and a stat device If we had more people aware of these valves, it would greatly improve the quality of our lives since we would not need to carry drainage bags all the time. There are just a couple of improvements that are needed to make it a great product. There's definitely something to gain from trying it.

It is a very useful product that I have used There are several types of Flo Valves, but I prefer these. In addition, I did not receive a Bard valve they were out of stock and could not tell me when they would be back in stock. Any person who uses catheters over the long term would benefit from these products.

We're in love with It makes having a Foley catheter in all day a lot easier and more It doesn't matter anymore that there are leaks. For someone who keeps a catheter in at all times, this product is highly recommended.

I didn't see any leaks. An easy process for opening and closing. My satisfaction with these is great. My brain took a moment to figure it out because the typical valve is open when the line is parallel to it and closed when the line is perpendicular to it. The upstream end is closed, and the downstream end is open as long as the angle between the two is 180°. When the angle is 90° there is some resistance and a clicking sound. For those with weak fingers, it is easy to use, with just enough friction that it won't open accidentally. The five are exactly the same size even though the picture depicts different sizes. Sterilized and individually sealed, these pads are of medical grade. barbs on these seem to be designed for 3/8" ID tubing, but I can force these to take 5/16" ID surgical tubing.
