Questions & Answers

What is the water resistance of this?

In the past six weeks I have been camping and for a lot of those days it has rained and I have left the Walker outside. It seems to have not rusted or be damaged in any way. I am happy to say I am no longer using it, but when I had to use it, it was a lifesaver during stumbling situations when stairs lacked handrails or when I had to climb stairs. My one major complaint is that the button kept sticking all the time so I would always stop and use my good hand to push the button on the other side. I have never used Walker sliders or tennis balls, they were always too unstable for me and I never experienced any problems with it. In hindsight I should have added this to my review, but I am just hoping I might be able to address a question that I didn't address in my review. Hope

Are you able to insert a standard walker ski glide foot into the back legs of the Roami?

When someone asked if it is waterproof, I just answered the question in my previous answer. As for those, I never used them as on other walkers they always made me feel unstable. I just had no problem making my way Nevertheless, I hope this helps but we are all unique

The balance is a bit off
3/5

I love how it looks, but it's not strong enough to last. In spite of the primary purpose of the walker - There is a lot of play where the pieces connect. The ability to assist those who have trouble getting up and moving There is no sense of security or confidence in this one.

Tall people will find this design more comfortable
3/5

If you are 5'4", this will not work for you. Quite a bit of blood is shed. There is only one good thing about it it has a nice, unique red color. There is a thin layer of padding on the handles. The other con is that the size is not suitable for people under 5'7"! the point at which your arms are fully extended down and your hands are spread flat to the floor in order to determine if this walker is right If you or your loved one is in need. This is the set I took to the hospital to use for physical therapy training after surgery. (Replacement of the knee. purchased it a month earlier so that I could practice using it at home. The walker turned out to be a lot more complicated than a simple two wheel In the post-knee replacement recovery stage, I quickly learned that it was not designed to be used on long flights of stairs. I learned how to fold it up and set it up for use on the stairs leading into my entryway instead of using it on flat surfaces. In some cases, it might be better to do it that way. I don't know. While I did perform the test on the stairs at my house that went from the top floor to the midway landing between the two floors. Not at all. When I was on pain meds and had only one leg functioning, I was unable to make up my mind whether the stair function was going to work. A person has no idea what it would be like to be in the position of having to repeat the already painful surgery several times. I don't care! The very act of writing that is traumatizing! I then had another issue at the hospital the day after surgery because the PT assigned to set me up with walker 101 and get me cleared to go home didn't want to use it at all. Sadly, I wasn't tall enough for such an evil beast! In the end, she made me a juvenile walker to show me what I was looking for and show me the 101 walker technique and we used my smarter than me phone to search for a shorter (junior sized) walker which I ordered right there. With a 1/3 the price and super light weight, it was easy for me to maneuver around my small home's corners and tight spots with no hassle.

The other issue with this walker is the As you can see, this vehicle came without wheels and I had to buy those Additional weight was added to the already heavy construction due to the wheel extensions. Comparatively speaking, it is very heavy, especially when compared to the cheap $22 junior walker I was released to go home with two days later. I am giving this heavy, fancy thing with a note attached (about the fact that it would be suited to a taller person) to a church charity in our area so that someone (who is much taller than I am) can use it. *) I wasted my time and money on this one. Without direct supervision and direct support, this equipment is not easy to use and won't be able to support short people or those with limited mental abilities due to its complexity of adjusting backwards, forwards, and sideways between wide, deep, and shallow entrance stairs. There is no way I will do that because I am way too extroverted and independent. My partner will tell you everything you need to know. It will make him.

I think this is a good piece of equipment for the price
5/5

It was the idea of being able to use this instead of a cane to go up and down stairs that I like the fact that it's not too heavy, pretty sturdy, and is stable. My only request is that they have better tutorials on how to use the steps for going up and down the Using a walker will give you a little more independence, which is perfect for those who want to achieve this.

I totally agree
5/5

After returning from my vacation, I'm ready to move on. When I refused to use the ramp, I was marveled at by those who read about me. As I pulled into Hannibal, MO, I noticed that there are quite a few steps up to where the monument honoring Samuel Clemons/Mark Twain was located. My front wheels make walking a breeze for me, as I use it every day for my walks around the block. Everyone is always asking me about my walker, and I tell them all about the fantastic roami that allows me to walk with a walker. The camera I carry with me everywhere is essential to me. It can tackle nearly any obstacle.

Stairs are easily negotiated with this shoe
5/5

Recently, I bought this product for my 75-year-old mother who has been hospitalized a few times over the past few years due to falls. Our upstairs bedroom is occupied by her, and she has to descend 19 stairs. She also has to turn around 180 degrees Her confidence has increased greatly since using this walker, and she has no longer had to rely on her older sister to hold the railings up for her. Although some of the buttons on the walker are difficult to use, she is getting the hang of them. For those that do not have cognitive function, I wouldn't recommend this. It takes a little time to get used to, especially for the first time. As a whole, my mother seems to have enjoyed it.

In the unlikely event that I receive one on wheels, it sounds like a good idea
3/5

Despite the good concept being implemented, the first one received was an obvious return and had no wheels on As you may have guessed, Amazon sent a replacement right away. Wheels are not present. When I can't use the product properly without the front wheels, it is difficult for me to give a good review. Rather than using the standard walker, I had to resort to one.

It is dangerous
3/5

I definitely do not recommend that for a set of stairs. The product is poorly designed and built. There is a great deal of danger involved.
