Questions & Answers

How much does this walker weigh in total? The weight is listed as Lb. in the description. 1Does this make sense?

I'm not sure how much it weighs, but it's not a lot.

Is it possible to take it apart to fit it in a suitcase?

The four leg posts are the only pieces that can be taken apart. It will be a few inches shorter as a result of this. It's well-made, and it should fit in most suitcases.

Is the Hemi a good option for someone who only has one leg and is learning to walk with their new prosthesis?

It provides additional support, so it might help with prosthetic legs, but I don't know anyone who has ever used one.

When the walker is fully extended, how wide is the base? My mother received one, and the base is so wide that she can't walk around it. Thanks?

It measures approximately 12 inches in width. In order to use hers, my sister needs a clear path. We had to rearrange some furniture and take some rugs out of the way, but this is the best equipment for her. I'm glad she'll be able to put it to good use.

It's a lot safer and more stable than using a quad cane
5/5

As a result of a below-the-knee leg amputation, I am currently using a folding two-wheel walker. I'd like to use a quad cane, but it's too unstable for me, and I don't feel safe walking with it. Falling is something I'm terrified of. This hemi walker has been fantastic for me; I can practice walking with it, and it is far more stable and safe than a quad cane. It's simple to fold and unfold, and it's lightweight, making it much easier to get in and out of my van than my walker. br>br>It arrived fully assembled, and I was up and running in no time. All I needed to do was adjust the leg length and I was good to go. br>br>It appears to be well-made and durable. I've been using it for about three weeks and have yet to encounter any issues. br>br>I would strongly recommend this to anyone who wants to upgrade from a walker but is concerned about the safety of a quad cane. This hemi walker has been extremely helpful in allowing me to practice walking safely while also improving my balance and walking ability on my leg prosthetic.

Hemi- You'll Want To Get This Walker
5/5

This is an outstanding product. Never heard of one before, but it's the perfect walker for my wife, who has lost mobility on her left side, both arm and leg, due to a stroke. This walker allows her to use her right hand and maintain her balance without difficulty, which is ideal for her because she cannot use her left arm.

Side Walker is a fantastic device
5/5

This device was designed to help stroke victims, but it has proven to be useful in a variety of other situations. is turning out to be even better than I had hoped! This will be ideal if you can walk a little without crutches (and one arm is strong enough). You use it in the same way that you would a cane, but it is far more stable! I couldn't walk a cup of coffee or a lot of things across the room on crutches because one of my legs was messed up. This walker, on the other hand, is fantastic because it frees up one of your hands! This is also a lot less bulky than lugging around a four-wheeled walker (which I have as well)! My order was delivered on time. It arrived ready to use; I just took it from the box. It was opened. Ta dah! It's not for nothing that my user name is "Rabid Shopper. " Amazon surprised me by beating Walmart's price! Well done, Amazon! I hope you found this review to be beneficial!.

Hemi Walker is a fantastic character
5/5

This walker was required after my son suffered a stroke. It's not only light, but it's also tough. When he isn't using it, he can easily fold and store it. Also takes into account his 6'1" height.

MUCH BETTER THAN I HAD EXPECTED! This is a fantastic product that has been expertly crafted
5/5

Move one item to make it collapsible for storage. It can be worn on your side under your arm or in front of you to help you get through tight spaces. Both positions offer a great deal of stability. br> It is simple to learn (by holding it in one position, you can achieve greater stability). When my hand is wet, I notice the hand grip becomes a little slick. This walker, in my opinion, is far more discrete than the common two-handed models.

For those who only have one arm, this is a fantastic walker
5/5

My mother says: We bought one for her because she recently broke her arm and was in a rehabilitation facility where they used it; she couldn't use her walker anymore, so we bought one for her. This was an excellent substitute for her walker, and she prefers it to using it. In the photo, it appears to be quite heavy, but in reality, it is quite light and folds flat for travel.

I used the best gear I could find
5/5

I walk with a walker most of the time. However, I recently had a shoulder replacement and won't be able to use it for up to three months while my shoulder heals. My physical therapist suggested this. It has given me the ability to move freely within my home. It's sturdy, but not too heavy for me to handle. It's lightweight and foldable, making it convenient to transport. It's been criticized for being too flimsy. When I was distracted, I tripped over a walker leg and landed on it. The only person who was hurt was me, and it was only a few bruises thankfully. It appears to be quite sturdy, though obviously not as stable as a four-wheel walker. It must be used with slow, careful steps because if you lean too far forward while walking, it may tip. Always push your weight straight down; if you only have one arm and need walking assistance, this is the way to go.

THIS IS A MUST HAVE
5/5

This is an absolute must-have item. It saves me a day by preventing me from falling. There are two that I have: Each of my favorite sitting chairs has one. I don't need a lift chair anymore because of it. But the real standout feature of this walker is that it can be operated with just one hand and is THE ONLY WALKER THAT CAN NAVIGATE NARROW HALLS AND TIGHT TURNS. I'd rather not have a brain than have to rely on these canes. They are not an outdoor walker because they lack wheels for distance, but they are excellent for yard work.
