It's not particularly heavy, but it's dependable. On solid flooring and most carpets, it is heavy enough to keep the cane upright. It doesn't get in the way of walking or lifting.
The tip of the cane is. 75mm in diameter and fits snugly into the quadrant base.

I had recently injured my leg and was unable to walk without assistance for the most part. I have a folding cane, but the rubber foot on it has always made me nervous because it feels like it will slip out from under me. It was very simple to set up after I purchased it. It improved the stability and security of the cane. I liked the idea of being able to stand it up, but I've discovered that it doesn't like standing for long periods of time and will fall over even if no one is nearby. I just lean it against a wall or a piece of furniture, and the thick feet keep it in place. No problem at all! br>br>If I ever need to use a cane on a daily basis (I'm still physically capable of getting around now that my injury has healed), I'll use the tip on any/all canes I end up with.
This is a good thing because the cane is very tightly fitted. When you need your hands free, you can rest assured that your cane will remain upright. It is, however, significantly heavier than a standard cane tip. The extra weight may bother you depending on why and how you use your cane. I was bothered by it, so I switched back to a standard cane tip. I believe it to be a high-quality cane tip that will last a long time, as it does not appear or feel cheaply made.
This cane tip is solid, sturdy, and will last a long time; however, I have nerve damage in both hands, and the weight of the cane made it too heavy for me, leaving my hand sore. I gave it to a relative who uses a standard cane, and she loves it, especially how much safer she feels walking and standing still with it. The quality is excellent, and the price is reasonable.
I bought this for a lady who had been using a cane with a shaky tip, and she says she really likes it. She also appreciates the fact that it can stand on its own.
It seems to add gallons, and it's really nice because the tip just adds onto the end of her cane, and she can sit it right next to her without worrying about it hanging off places or putting it down and losing it.

When I walk with my cane, the new tip provides more stability, particularly when descending from a curb or step. When I'm not using it, I like how the cane stands on its own. I don't have to lay it out or hang it from a chair or anything like that.
I bought a backup of this product because it is very stable and you can pop it back up with your foot on the tip if you drop your cane. I'm big and bulky, so I use it for every step I take, and it's tough. A fantastic purchase!.
