Purchase of this item has been very satisfactory for us. The seat raisers that have chrome legs that reach to the floor and wrap around the toilet base had previously been gotten by my brother and me for our elderly mother. She had a problem with them in her small bathroom, and we gave them away by the end of the year. The price on this one seemed reasonable, so I was excited to find it, but we were a bit hesitant to buy it given some of the concerns raised by others about installation. This seat fit perfectly on an American Standard toilet and didn't require drilling, though we had to replace the two metal washers provided with larger ones to stabilize the seat. As it happened, I had the correct size jar of saved washers and bolts, so we didn't have to make any special effort to find them. The waste baskets, toilet paper dispenser, and scales on either side of the commode are readily accessible, it is sturdy, and it is attractive. It is recommended.
I found this to be a great product, and it looks great. I give this five stars.
Survival tip To install this toilet seat riser, you will need to change your existing bolts with the longer metal bolts included with it. It is important to make sure the existing bolts on your toilet seat can be removed from the toilet It can be true for many. However, when I removed the toilet seat from Mom's bathroom, it revealed that the bolts in the toilet seat were captive. The bolts rotated, but could not be detached from the toilet seat. As suggested by another reviewer, I replaced her toilet seat with one from Home Depot and it was an easy installation. The metal washers and bolts that came with the toilet riser were able to be used, though I did not use the metal wing nuts since the metal would have been in contact with the porcelain. Instead, I used the plastic wing nuts that came with the toilet seat. Thank you for this purchase. I am very pleased with it.
4 trips to Home Depot were required for installation, but the system has now been installed successfully. This model worked better for me as I did not want the industrial looking riser with metal arms that takes up floor space. In the end, I found a Bemis toilet seat that worked (see photo) and bought 6" screws that fit the toilet seat hardware. The "easy clean" seats didn't work because they were able to move from side to side. In addition to this, the screws that came with the riser were much too big to fit the existing hardware on the It turned out to be a very good result. There's a bit of an off-center, but that's most likely my fault. -- It could be adjusted, but I've turned it on and it's All set! My physical therapist has approved the use of a comfort toilet following a hip replacement! Can the manufacturer consider sending two sets of screws, including one that is smaller so it will fit The diameter of the bolt I wound up with was.
There is nothing overt about this riser model, and in fact we all find it to be more subtle than many others. The riser mounts easily to the toilet bowl, and it stays in place unlike those that just sit in the If each of us needs a little extra help getting up, we all like the handles at the sides. I think it is a good choice, and the price is one of the best I have seen. A RECENT UPDATE It has been two years since we first began using these risers, and we are still very pleased with their functionality. This is still a good option.
(15) (a) A standard porcelain toilet bowl has an excessive amount of slippage when the product is sitting on top of it. There can be no escaping the fact that a non-profit On the bottom side of the elevated seat, a skid material would help to prevent, if not eliminate, any slipping. Having (2). There are two long threaded bolts, 2 washers, and 2 nuts included in the hardware kit The wing fasteners are on either side. It seems that threaded nuts of the appropriate size would be a more secure fit for the wings in place of the fasteners, since that is difficult to do by hand. (3). The price was 61. This is an absurd amount of money to spend. It is especially frustrating to deal with a flawed product. 4. It would be impossible to secure the toilet seat with a standard toilet seat & In response to the bolt size in width, the fastener holes for the toilet seats needed to be enlarged in order to fit the supplied bolts.
It has been a blessing from heaven to have such an elevated toilet seat after surgery! The installation was a snap along with our original toilet seat, and my husband had no problem with it. We can hardly notice that it's there, as it matches and blends perfectly with our white toilet. There are no metal bars to make it look like a piece of 'medical supply equipment', which is especially nice. There is a lot of stability and security in this product. Safe handling of the handles and arms is ensured by ergonomic positioning. Besides that, it retains its beauty for a long time.
You might have a little more weight if you're bigger. My MIL is very petite, so we had to get her raised seats. Nevertheless, one of the toilets is one we all need to use, and I am nowhere near as small as my mother-in-law. You will find that the seats with higher handles are extremely restrictive if you weigh more than Since the handles on this seat are lower, people of a larger size can use it too. It took him several hours to install the toilet, but the installation itself was not difficult. He had to buy a new toilet seat because our old one didn't fit the seat well. If someone with fluffy back needs to sit on a raised seat, this is a great choice. The ring is durable and does not budge.
The seat riser was purchased for my elderly mother, who was losing strength in her legs, making standing up from a seated position difficult. With the riser, she can safely get up and stand without any trouble. Her worries about me are gone as soon as she goes down. Handles built into the case are a nice touch. In the event that you lose your balance, the safety feature will assist. It is easy to set up. The bolts are on both sides. 15 minutes is all it takes to install An operation that lasts 30 minutes. Using a screwdriver, remove your original toilet seat, place the elevated seat on top of it and fasten the original seat back on. A long set of hardware comes with the seat.
