When I was 5'2" and it hurt so much to sit and get up, the distance seemed miles away. This item has far exceeded my expectations. Because I am a renter, I am unable to make any changes to my apartment. The Riser was easy to put together and fit perfectly. It was as simple as sticking the sticky pads to the product and putting it in place. It's safe, easy to clean, and a blessing in disguise. I recently had back surgery and bought this to prevent the strain of sitting too low. For me, it proved to be a lifesaver. It was excruciatingly painful to use the toilet without it. br>It was simple to clean, but the circumference of the open middle part is extremely small, indicating that it was designed for a toilet with a small seat. To avoid being too graphic, each trip to the bathroom results in you soiling both the back and front portions of the inside. br>It also doesn't stay as still on the seat as I'd like, moving a little when I tried to sit or stand. br>However, the height was perfect. Overall, it wasn't a bad purchase; however, there were a few things that could have been done better.

The issue with this seat is that, unlike most other products on the market, no dimensions are provided. So, if it doesn't fit, all you have to do is order it and return it with a one-star review. I've noticed that the majority of the reviews are anecdotal and discuss whether it fits or not. So I guess I'm lucky because I have two standard toilets where it fits perfectly with the seat removed and two elongated toilets where it fits perfectly with the seat in place. Except for the issue caused by the lack of dimensions, I would give it five stars.

On my standard round commode, it works perfectly. My wife, who recently underwent bypass surgery, required a higher seat because she has difficulty standing up if the seat is too low. This is a fantastic method. With this riser on the commode base, she can stand up much more easily. (Doesn't take a seat in the chair. ) The seat is supported by this base and projects into the bowl, making it impossible to remove without picking it up. It will sag slightly, but the cushioning pads included in the package will help control this. br>If you don't need the riser, you can lift it right up and use it with the regular sea. br>It's highly recommended!.

Urine gets into the unit itself through screw holes and other "handy" features, and it also runs down the outside of the toilet with the ones with locks or other "handy" features. This product is the only one that is made of one solid piece of plastic to prevent urine from entering the toilet and has a small lip on the bottom to keep liquid from spilling out. This one is for a neighbor, and I'm buying it for them because of the convenience it will provide. They will, I'm sure, enjoy it as well.

We had ordered the toilet handles from Amazon, but I was still having trouble getting out of the toilet due to its low height. This seat raiser was a great purchase for us. It may be a little higher than necessary, but it was the only thing I could find that simply sat on the toilet rim without the need for additional hardware or something similar. It simply rests on the rim of the toilet and is perfectly secure. We have an elongated toilet, which fits perfectly and is simple to turn on and off for those who do not require it. Other customers reported that theirs had an indented area on the bottom for a handhold to assist with picking it up. Mine didn't work out. Removing and replacing it is still simple. This injury necessitated a number of purchases for handicapped items, and this was a good and necessary purchase, with Amazon's usual quick delivery.

This product may or may not fit your needs, depending on the style and dimensions of your toilet bowl. Only if it fits your toilet better than mine would I recommend it. br>br>My toilet bowl is oval and measures 13 1/2 " L x 11" W. It's a more recent low-flow model that comes with two flush options. This toilet riser is not a good fit for my toilet. The riser measures 12" long by 9 1/2" wide. Because I know the riser will move, I secure it against the back of the toilet and carefully take a seat. I'm not having any issues with it now (before the surgery). br>br>On a few points, some of the other reviews appeared to be perplexed. This riser does not require the removal of the toilet seat. It is held in place by no screws. You raise the seat and set the riser on top of the bowl. There are no adjustments available, and there is nothing that can be done to secure the riser to the toilet. It is simply inserted into the toilet and easily removed. To keep the riser from slipping, there are four "pads" included on the underside. They haven't proven to be very effective for me.
