Questions & Answers

Is this a sturdily constructed seat? What prevents it from falling off the toilet?

It has a high level of stability. On the bottom side of the toilet rim, there are two attached rubber pads, one on each side. Then there's a plastic piece that "hangs down" from the rim or fits inside it. I'm still wearing mine for a few more weeks, and it's very comfortable, and it hasn't slipped or slid on me. You don't need to remove the standard toilet seat or lid; simply raise them and place the AquaSense seat on the rim. Weight isn't an issue for me because I'm a fairly large person. This is a seat that I strongly recommend.

What is the depth of the flange? When you sit down, does it move at all?

The flange, which is the hard plastic round thing that secures this item to the toilet, is 1/2 inch in diameter and does not move when I sit down. I only have one leg and rely on a walker to get around. I'm confident that this object will not move and knock me over.

Is it possible to use this on a toilet seat that is round?

Is it possible to use this on a seat that is longer than it is wide?

What is the method for connecting it to the toilet?

Hello ! No, it isn't a toilet attachment. It fits snugly against the porcelain (toilet seat up) and won't slip or slide off. Believe me when I say that this item is a lifesaver for your knees. Please pick it up. You will not be disappointed. You can also remove it, wash it, and replace it on the porcelain at any time.

Selected User Reviews For AquaSense 770-610 Portable Raised Toilet Seat, White

Despite the fact that we already have an oblong toilet bowl, I ordered it anyway in the hopes that it would perform better than the one we were using
5/5

The old one had clamps that needed to be retightened all of the time to keep the extension on the stool. br>We were hoping for a better outcome. In fact, it has performed admirably, and we are extremely pleased. It's not a perfect fit, but movement is minimal thanks to the rim that reaches down into the bowl's opening, and we barely notice it when we use it. It's simple to remove in order to clean it and the toilet as needed. It's the best solution we've come up with for raising the toilet's height. It's also surprisingly relaxing - For us, it is a reality.

Stability is a major concern for me
3/5

I'd like to begin by saying that I'm not usually one to write reviews, but I feel compelled to do so now because of my concern for the safety of those who require a product like this. br>br>I'm a 28-year-old athlete who just had arthroscopic hip surgery to repair a torn labrum in my hip. To allow the hip to heal and avoid any irritation from excessive mobility during the first few weeks after surgery, I purchased this raised seat cover because the toilet in my apartment, like most toilets, is fairly low to the floor. br>br>While seated, the seat cover's height was ideal, keeping my knees below my hip line. My main concern is the product's stability; on several occasions, I shifted my weight to one side and the seat cover slipped into the toilet, causing me to fall and jeopardizing the stability of my surgically repaired hip. Thankfully, I was not re-admitted. br>br> Fortunately, no one was hurt, but falling into the toilet a few times was a major concern. If you are a senior with hip problems or have recently had surgery, I strongly advise you to use a more stable seat cover, as this one is not suitable for anyone with compromised joints.

SAFE, CLEAN, AND EASY TO USE, PERFECT FOR ROUND TOILET PHOTOS ARE AVAILABLE FOR REVIEW
5/5

I was looking for a toilet seat that would lift me 3 inches because I have knee problems. Because of some of the chair's negative reviews, I was very hesitant to buy it. In addition, the photos do not show how it prevents the toilet bowl from slipping. Because I have a round toilet, I chose this one. It was also reasonably priced. When it arrived, the first thing I noticed was how heavy and solid it was. The underside has a rim that extends about 2 inches into the toilet bowl, preventing slipping. On the underside of the seat, there are also anti-slip pads. None of this was captured in the photographs, which surprised me. Only a round toilet should be used with this. It fits snugly and can be easily removed for cleaning or for reasons of privacy.

I've transformed into a completely different person
5/5

What a blessing it is to have this item. I'm 70 years old, and two months ago I fell and broke my Femur right next to the ball, which the surgeon described as a "nasty break. " I recovered well in the rehab facility, but it was a different story once I returned home. When we remodeled the bathroom, we installed new taller toilets, and I assumed I'd be fine, but it turns out those tall toilets weren't all that tall. I couldn't get up without help once I was down, and it hurt my knees. Then I came across this little gem and ordered it, and I've been in love with it ever since. It has a lip that rests inside the bowl and keeps it in place, but it can still shift slightly one way or the other. It won't fall off, so don't be concerned. I did have one instance where I sat for so long that it stuck to my behind when I stood up, but other than that, I have no complaints. Of course, you must use it with caution and common sense. I gently lower myself and move around slowly, allowing me to wipe from one side to the other without incident. The only thing I'd add is that I'm 5'9" and my feet barely touch the ground, so I found something to slide in place to rest my feet on and then move it out of the way for safety reasons when I'm ready to stand. If your toilet is 15" in diameter and not elongated, you should be able to use this item with ease. My knees are in such good shape now that they aren't being overworked like they used to be. I would give it an additional star if I could.

Sometimes it's better to keep things simple
5/5

This toilet seat is unique in that it does not rock. Other seats I tried had tightening screws connected to expanders underneath the seat to lock it in, but they were still unsteady with certain side-to-side body movements, whereas this seat's simple design proved superior in the stability department. I'm grateful to the previous reviewer who included photos of the underside, which shows an oval angled piece of plastic that keeps the seat in place on the bottom toilet. I recently had hip replacement surgery and would recommend this seat because it is higher and allows for easier lowering and rising. Perhaps its most appealing feature is its resemblance to a standard toilet seat, with plenty of room for all the parts that need to fit and no undue pressure on the sides of the pelvis due to the seat's downward slope - This chair has a flat surface. It rocks!.

Hip Replacement after the procedure
5/5

After having my hip replaced, I purchased this raised toilet seat to help me get around. This product was simple to put together (according to my husband, it simply snapped together). I was concerned about the snapping on and security, but it does not slip and is extremely secure. I've been using it for three weeks and haven't had to make any adjustments. This is a product that I would strongly recommend.

Did the designer ever put this thing to use? This seat is not designed to fit buttocks of a typical size or shape
3/5

It makes it difficult to move your bowels because it presses the cheeks together. It also isn't shaped to fit into an elongated commode, which is a serious design flaw. On this one, they'll have to start all over again.

This is a wonderful chair
5/5

My knees are swollen due to rheumatoid arthritis. This is a wonderful chair. My knees are in bad shape because I have rheumatoid arthritis. It is well-fitting, does not wobble, and makes my life much easier. The best part is that I can just hide it in the shower when I have company. Note: It is designed to be used on the bowl rather than the seat. The toilet lid cannot be lowered while it is in use, unfortunately. It's a comfortable chair that's also simple to clean. This is ideal for me because I am only 53 years old and am not yet ready to install a permanent riser. Love it.
