On the basis of the weight of my dog on the scale versus the weight at the vet's office, I would say that they are fairly accurate. The most important thing about them is how consistent they are. The one I use has been in my possession for a year and a half. There was no need to plug in an adapter since the device runs on batteries. As of now, it has only ever required one battery change. As I said earlier, I ordered the "Health o meter" on Amazon a few days ago. Let me tell you, this thing is just so awesome! In the past, I had been using a Weight Watchers brand digital bathroom scale, and that thing was a pain, for a couple of reasons. For one thing, it gave very different readings from the scales that I used at But worse still, there was no consistency between readings so I had to step on it again. The device allows me to get five different weight measurements in two minutes by stepping on it five times. There's nothing more frustrating than trying to determine whether you've lost or gained a few tenths of a pound, only to find that the scale doesn't even know whether you've increased or decreased. Can you explain this new scale to me? It is amazing. I just love As soon as I get on, it just tells me how heavy I am. There is a lot of accuracy in the scale, and I can't speak more highly of it. I like how the reader is easy to use, and the long cord makes it easy to place in various locations. It can be hard to read the LED numbers with the readout stand at a weird angle because of the weird angle of the readout stand.
