I received a recording that wasn't accurate and was poorly made. Although I tried to return it, they were unwilling to accept it back and gave me credit after numerous emails.
Gregg scales are not the only ones made overseas. Another high quality brand name scale from a manufacturer with a great reputation, thanks Peter 609-561-6150 I. 379-388

As part of our clinic in Honduras serving the very poor, we purchased it. It has been a huge hit with them, and I am sure it will be a good investment for them for many years to come. I was able to put it together easily with the assistance of a few mechanics, and it now serves its purpose. For height measurement, it has both metric and inch sizes, and for weight measurements, it has pounds and kilograms.
The reading area is small and the parts are difficult to assemble. In my opinion, it isn't worth the price paid. It has a small platform and is difficult to get onto for the price paid. The scale I expected was the kind you find in doctors' offices, but it did not live up to.
Putting this together took my husband only about 15 minutes, with only a minor issue with one of the pieces. It's been a few years since we last used this scale & Even so, my doctor's scale is still accurate to within a pound or two. As soon as it was put in the kitchen, I did not have to recalibrate it.
There appears to be a high level of 'doctor's office' quality in this The problem was that the instructions were missing and it had to be assembled after arrival. The scales were adjusted in due time we were, however, unable to get the scales assembled in the time allotted for us. I hesitate to recommend this product to those who might be lifting impaired or do not possess basic mechanical assembly skills.
In contrast to other scales, the weight you see is exactly what you get with this one.
