Collins – negative: This brand cleans between teeth OK, but not as well as the other brand we tried (GUM). In comparison to GUN, the Dr Collins brand has two drawbacks: 1) Dr. Collins was packaged in a rigid plastic box, which should have been a plus; br>2) the plastic cover for the business end of each individual brush has the same problem - even a small bump causes the plastic box to open and dump the brushes on the counter/floor or in your suitcase, toiletries bag, pocket, etc. Any bump or pressure caused the cover to come off, exposing the brush to the counter, floor, inside of pocket, and so on. br>Does the plastic box open and dump the brushes when you don't want it to? The brush covers pop off, exposing the brush to whatever unsanitary surface it lands on. The GUM brand, on the other hand, has flexible covers for the business end of each brush that don't pop off with the slightest provocation.
You can buy the cheaper versions, but after cleaning between 5 or 6 teeth, the bristles will begin to fall out, requiring floss to remove them. These bad boys are tough, never lose bristles, and leave you feeling super clean, which I think is better than flossing. My gums no longer bleed and the spaces between my teeth are clear, making it easier for me to use them after about two weeks of regular use. My dentist is overjoyed, and I no longer have to listen to the gingervitus lectures. YAHOO!.
I gave one to my mother to try, and she raved about it so much that I had to order a package for her. I have very close teeth, and the small ones fit perfectly between them. I have Sjogrens, so I have ongoing dental issues, and I have tried everything on the market, and these are the best. Thank you, Dr. Collins.
P. My mother's maiden name is Collins. It was actually quite amusing.
I'm a big fan of Dr. Collins's interoral brushes. They are required reading for anyone who has had crowns or other malpractice-related dental work.
These cleaners are extra small to the point of perfection. Thank you for maintaining a supply. I hope you keep this product in stock; it's a great product to use with or without floss.
It's a good brush. Although the compact design is appealing, the cap is easily removed, which I find acceptable.
Interdental cleaners are the best I've ever used.
Perfect for those hard-to-reach areas where floss just wasn't cutting it. (On the back of my bottom teeth, there is a wire. ).
