The wires holding my braces in place were very thick, and they were sticking out from my jaw. The blades worked perfectly. I was unsure whether they would be able to cut the rubber, but they did. They were a good.

My daughter's braces were greatly improved when the wire was cut closer to flush, but when we first cut the wire the corner of the cutting edge broke off in her mouth

She cut her mouth from a small piece of food, which we caught before it got into her. It may be that this was a single unit problem that wasn't properly heat treated, but I'll try a different brand next time.
