After discovering on a Thur that my son's orthodontic wire was rubbing against his cheek, he was unable to see his dentist until Monday. Despite a great deal of help from orthodontic wax, he could not eat while it was in his mouth. His wire appears to be of a medium thickness, but I don't know what size it is. A plier would've been helpful, but it wasn't necessary a spring, such as cuticle trimmers have, would have made them much easier to use. However, I was still able to complete the job without one, it just required more finger maneuvers.
