When I bought this, there were such mixed reviews, but I had to have it. The light I purchased from Surgitel cost over $500. I am a dental hygienist. Since it was purchased, it has NEVER worked for me, and now it is completely dead. There is no way I will pay them more money than I have already paid. It seemed like a good idea to me to give it a go. I clipped the shield right onto my shield instead of my loupes now that I wear a shield. The product was purchased on November 2 (4 months ago) and is proving to be excellent. Charging it every night is an everyday activity for me. Can it compare to the surgitel light I saw when I was born? Sorry, but no. It's not exactly the same, but it's The tiny screw on one corner of the item stripped so I glued it in place once I got the setting right. There is a difference in price. That is something I would HIGHLY recommend. In spite of the fact that this light can only last another month or two, I will continue to get it.

It's unfortunate that I didn't notice that the light came unscrewed and couldn't find the mini-drive this time around A screw was lost. As a result of the poor quality of the construction, I would not recommend this product. It is nice that you are able to adjust the clip and light. To keep the light from drifting, screws had to be tightened. My light is flickering and I feel that the soldered connections need to be checked after taking the cover off of the light. I've been using the same light for a few months, but it's stopped working for a coworker. My computer will probably behave in the same way.
I bought this to replace my loops. I broke it where the wire attaches to the arm, and the light keeps flickering at the slightest movement of the wire. I am disappointed!.
The lights on my loupes are not my favorites. However, I find that it is not as bright as some of the others I have used. I also dislike the thin clips that go on the glasses the ones that slide on work better for me.
