The steel cables in my garage door opener started getting frayed so I decided to buy this product. I finally installed them, and they seem to work fine. When I opened and closed my garage door, the opener was having a lot of problems and I was getting frustrated Weak and strong. Having installed this cable and adjusted the spring tension, I discovered the unit started working very well and is now smoothly operating.
As long as I measure and install, it will be okay.
Despite the good product, the cables were too short to work with my door, which measures 8 feet tall. Measure your items carefully.
Don't let it get in the way of what it's made for. A very strong statement.
