I would have been fired years ago if I had done my job like that. This pad was purchased to go beneath my gas grill. So, best of luck to me on that one, as I see an accident brewing. However, I must say that the pad is well-made, so I gave it five stars. I gave 0 stars for the sizing.
br>br>Amazon's entire stock appears to be mislabeled twice now. I got a 24" x 24" x 3" EL2424-S both times. The 24x24x24 is well-made and stable, and it appears to me that it should be used on a hard man ground or pad. Because it is hollow, it can be sunk into the ground to stabilize or level it.
It's a small package, but it's a strong one. Just put a 2 ton unit (not the literal weight; it's an A/C unit of measurement) on it that weighed around 110 pounds. The pad is a corrugated plastic cross section unit that is only a few inches thick but extremely durable. It elevates your air conditioning unit off the ground and away from moisture, which can cause rust and damage.
My AC technician put six of these on a flat roof to replace compressors. He seemed to like them, but I think they're flimsy (so I gave them a split star rating).
Performs the necessary tasks. It's sturdy enough, with the lower side leveled with a few concrete blocks, and it appears to be in good condition and will last for a long time.
Great pad with much better construction than the 30 year old hard-foam pads it replaced. The support cross piece matrix at the bottom appears to be sufficient. I would not hesitate to order this line again, and in fact, I will be doing so shortly to replace another air conditioner.
The item arrived on time and in good condition, but I should have ordered the 3" thick version.
Because of the amount of ribbing on this pad, it is very strong and durable for plastic. I also screwed the base of my irrigation pump through it, and it grabbed well without stripping out.
