How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

- Cross Tuned technology features exclusive rebound valves and a more aggressive compression phase that improves overall handling and performance on or off the
A ROUGH RIDE IS MINIMIZED - A Progressive Engagement Valving is custom tuned for each vehicle to minimize initial impacts at low speeds and to minimize initial impacts
It features a 16mm nitro-carburized piston rod to resist scuffs and corrosion, double-welded loops at stress points, and a 35mm sintered iron piston for outstanding structural integrity, as well as a polyvinyl protective boot.
WIL HANDL EXTREME TEMPERATURE CHANGES -- The large twin-tube body filled with an all-weather fluid allows for cooler operation, better handling, and the ability to withstand internal temperatures between -40 and 248°F.
With a polyurethane rebound bumper and rubber bushings to absorb ride harshness and a fluon-banded piston that responds more quickly and smoothly to changing road conditions, this wheel provides an overall smoother ride.
FADE REDUCES -- Nitrogen gas is pressed to 150 PSI pressure to reduce air to oil mixture to achieve better damping performance and to reduce foaming and fading
COMPRESSION CONTROL VALE -- Compression Control Valve is precisely tuned to each vehicle and provides a constant transfer of fluid to absorb impacts without disc flutter and help maintain shock motion control.
Built to last - a self-lubricating, low friction seal holds gas and oil and offers quicker and smoother rebound. The application-specific piston delivers heightened control of shock motion due to its larger surface area.

Questions & Answers

The body lift in my 97 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 is 3 inches, and the suspension lift is 3 inches. Who says these lifts won't work?

With a 3 inch block installed, I installed them on a 99 Tahoe. As a result, I have to leave Our trucks work very well when we're on the road. They seemed to have trouble with the truck, but I'm not sure if they'll be able to fix it? Those who endure the shock are rewarded with a rewarding experience. Hope you have a great day!

That's the cost of a pair of shocks or is one shock included in the price?

One shock is included in the pricing.

It is no longer possible to use air ride. I would like to replace the shocks with standard ones. How well will these work as replacements?

Hey, it is most likely the units will install with the correct vehicle listed they likely will. On the other hand, the air shocks provide weight support along with the control of ride height. There are no shocks that can support weight in the RS55262. by removing the air shocks and replacing them with standard shocks that aren't designed to support weight, you will end up with a lower ride height in the rear.

It must be installed with red boots on top of the rod! This is my fault for not reading instructions the first time
5/5

Upon testing this out on a trip, I realized they bounce all over the road if the rods and boots are installed with the rod down. In these shocks, liquid is present. The bottom of the cylinder is filled with liquid. In the process of installing, you will untie the wire from the rod end, and you will allow them to Once they are all the way down (with rod on top), cycle them all the way back up. The shocks will work like you would expect/hope they will at this point since the liquid will be distributed properly. The left-over wire is still attached to the bottom of the shock, so compress it and re-insert it It is possible, but not essential, to tie wire to the tree. In the event you install them correctly, you'll be pleased with them.

I would rather use this It was a good decision to replace my KYB shocks with Rancho shocks on my 3500 Silverado, as the Ranchos provided a stiffer ride

The rear shocks on a 2001 Tahoe are shot
5/5

Despite that, one of the original rear shocks sprung a leak after 235,000 miles. Rancho RS5000X was installed in their place. It is a much smaller diameter than originals, but appears to function okay.

The shock was solid

I fitted them onto my 96 GB of RAM and they worked perfectly. We restored the truck's stock height and ride quality and we gave it a smooth ride on and off the highway.
