Why is it important to know how long it takes for a collapse to occur? In a Yamaha 2009 212x jet boat trailer, I had to replace one. It will work if your old one resembles this. I don't believe they come in various lengths. I'll look for the old one and measure it, but I believe it's gone.

It was a little difficult to replace because it was my first time, but once I figured out that all of the pieces had to be put together before sliding it in, it was a lot easier. At a reasonable price, this is an excellent product.
