How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

ADVANCED COMPRESSION PHASE AND CARGO HANDLING— Cross Tuned technology which features exclusive rebound valves and advanced compression phases results in enhanced performance on and off road.
MAKES ROUGH RIDE MUCH LESS OBVIOUS -- Special Progressive Engagement Valving is designed to minimize initial impacts at low speeds and to minimize rough ride as much as possible.
It features a 16mm nitro-carburized piston rod to resist scuffs & corrosion, double-welded loops at stress areas, a 35mm sintered iron piston for enhanced structural integrity, and a polyvinyl protective boot.
ADVANCED TEMPERATURE HANDLER - Large second tube in the vehicle body filled with all-weather fluid allows for cooler operation, increased vehicle control and ability to stand up to internal temperatures of -40°F
Performance is smoother with the Polyurethane rebound bumper and rubber bushings that help to absorb harsh road edges, and the Fluon-banded piston that enhances responsiveness to changing road conditions.
PERFORMANCE FADE - Nitrogen gas pressurized to 150 PSI minimizes air-to-oil mixture to reduce fade and foaming in damping performance
HELP ENSURE CONTROL - Compression Control Valve is custom-tuned for each vehicle which regulates fluid transfer to absorb impacts without disc flutter. The Valve helps control shock motion as well.
This shock is built to last -- a low-friction, self-lubricating seal helps ensure quicker rebound and smoother compression while the application-specific piston design delivers better shock control due to the expanded area of the piston.

Questions & Answers

Can this system be used with a 2in lift on the rear of a Jeep Comanche?

Thanks for your inquiry, *br>This is unfortunately not applicable to a Jeep Commanche vehicle.

The advertised size of these wasn't adjustable, wasn't it? They aren't the ones I received. ?

Please accept my sincere thanks for your inquiry. These Rancho RS5000X series shocks do not have adjustable damping. Each shock in the RS9000XL series includes a manual adjuster so that damping control and firmness can be customized. Thanks for your kind words

Could these be mounted on my 4 wheel drive 1976 Ford F250 XLT Ranger? Is this true of both the front and rear?

installed them on a 2001 2WD Ford Expedition and they work perfectly. If you have questions about a specific application, you might want to check the manufacturer's web site since Amazon is sometimes not Having to do that was the only thing I could Although the product is great, it is rather pricey.

What if I have a 3inch lift kit installed on my 1989 Jeep Wrangler?

My 1978 Landcruiser FJ40 was equipped with them and I had no idea what type of tires they had

What's a knockoff? Having received what I did, I am concerned
3/5

There is a lot of counterfeit stuff out there. In addition to the colorless logo, the dust cover has a bunch of untrimmed flashing, and its paint job has terrible quality (the rubber grommets have also been It is also important to note that some people said I would receive a pair, but I have.

The model fits the 1995 2WD F-250 A set of these fits my 1995 2WD F-250 I like the 150 (0" lift) a lot! Obviously, the truck was not new when I bought it, so I cannot tell what the original ride was
5/5

However, these are much stiffer than what I had previously, the truck now handles much better and does not bump as much -- My body is like a truck right.

I enjoyed riding my 1991 Jeep Wrangler for a very long time
5/5

I had a very comfortable ride in my 1991 Jeep Wrangler! The engine in my Jeep has two cylinders. Although the shock body hits the axle tube due to the 5" lift on it, it's still a problem. To fix the problem, I had to order the replacement shock relocation brackets from Rubicon Express. The part number is.

Currently I have them set up on the back of my YJ jeep from 1993
4/5

The YJ jeep I have with a 6-inch lift has no issues with these in the back. If you want these to fit your suspension, make sure that you measure where the bolts hold up in a compressed and unstressed state. I have actually been able to sleep on the bus at night without breaking the bank by using these.

My expectations weren't met when I visited the ranch
3/5

These shocks are tighter than the last ones I had on my 1995 Jeep YJ, and when rounding curves on a bumpy road, these don't hop. As a result of 70), expansion joints will turn the vehicle sideways almost entirely.

The way I see it, it works
4/5

The shocks were good. The construction is excellent. I recommend it for off-roading. It's a bit on the hard side of the highway ride. However, shocks on offroad vehicles are to be expected.
