Questions & Answers

Today, I noticed that there was moisture on the inside of the jar that I store them in, and I feel hot when I touch them. This seems normal to me, is it not? What do you think of them?

I don't think so. Any environment in which they are exposed to O2 will cause them to react. When you store them in mason jars, there is a lot of oxygen in there. This is especially true if you constantly open the jar up. Using them will be most effective when you plan ahead and only use them as necessary. Dehydrating vegetables or making jerky are two of the things I use them for. the vegetables or jerky into vacuum bags, remove the vacuum bag containing the Oxy-Moist moisture absorber, and open the bag. You may remove the number of sorbs you need and reseal the bag they are in as soon as possible. My next step was to apply an Incorporate a desiccant packet AND a sorbent packet together in a vacuum bag with the product. Throughout the year, I store all dehydrated products in PLASTIC. I have stored 50 caliber ammo cans (labeled, date-stamped, etc.) in a freezer for more than 3 years and have found nothing wrong with them. A review of Oxy-Contin Using Sorb for long-term effects is great The storage of products for a long period of time is possible if they are

Is the Oxygen Adsorber used to remove oxygen from the air?

The oxygen in food breaks it down so that it goes stale and spoils quickly, and these oxygen absorbers My food dehydrator dehydrates fruit and vegetables, then I place them in clean mason jars, add an oxygen absorber and close the jars up. The process takes about 4 weeks After 6 hours, you will hear the top pop inward and the oxygen will no longer be present. Cooking with these jars is something I do every day. This has long been the case To store food over the long term, I seal the dehydrated foods inside a vacuum seal bag with an oxygen absorbent and vacuum seal removing all air, this bag is then placed inside a mylar bag and sealed, and then placed into a 5-gallon bucket. (Food can last up to 20 years) in a five-gallon bucket with two oxygen absorbers. I aim to help explain this. The food we have used has always been excellent.

Getting a bag from end to end once it has been opened! How should the bag be closed and sealed?

In fact, unused absorbers should never be put in a zippered bag due to the relatively high permeability of the film that allows oxygen to pass through the plastic and around the zipper, thereby causing damage to the It would be possible to store them inside a few vacuum-sealed bags You may want to store each bag in a sealed bag, and store the sealed bags inside a container, such as a vacuum bag The jar is sealed with a rubber gasket. The method I use is to store them inside a vacuum-sealed bag Fill an empty glass jar or other sealed container with dried food and jar sealer- Pump and Seal devices work well, and they are available online for quite a reasonable price. My preference is to use a hand-operated, non-electrical device for my work even though I am an electrical engineer A vacuum sealer that has been sold for about 25 years and continuously improved. If I use zippered bags for an extended period of time The long-term storage of bulk grains and the like (separated into 50 lbs.- As well as the two pounds from vendors), two bags are used, both vacuum-sealed, with the oxygen absorber If using a vacuum pump to vacuum seal powdery items such as corn starch or flour, a cheap coffee filter (about a penny) can be used to keep the powder out.

Did anyone ever open them and leave them aside and they quickly ?

Hot packs that are put on gloves or boots are the same thing as oxygen absorbers. They get hot when they're being used up, so they're getting overheated. It is best to keep them always vacuum sealed in order to avoid this. Putting them aside un-sealed is not a good idea. It would be best to put them in a zip-top bag with as much air squeezed out of them as possible, just as one did in the answers already.

Use of this product incorrectly did not work
3/5

Before I opened the oxygen absorber package, I made sure all my jars have been opened and are ready. First of all, despite the fact the bag described as OxySorb was vacuum sealed, there was no oxygen indicator at all on it. Once I opened the bag of absorbers, I immediately put 40 packets into an 8oz jar and closed the lid tightly, knowing that I wouldn't have to use them, as I wouldn't need them for anything. To pack the dried apples into mason jars, I pack them tightly. For each quart jar, I put 200 cc of absorbers, and for each gallon jar, 600 cc. Five minutes after opening the vacuum sealed packet of oxygen absorbers, all the lids had been placed tightly on the packages. I've waited more than two hours and NONE of my jars have sealed, not even the 8oz jar that has about 40 packets in it. It is equipped with a total of 4000cc worth of oxygen absorbers. As soon as I got them, it was clear that they were no good. I will try a different brand after I get a refund.

It was spoiled in transit
3/5

usually buy these regularly, so when I saw that the package's vacuum seal had somehow been damaged, I looked for the color tab inside. It turns dark blue when it has been exposed to oxygen for a long period of time. As expected, it showed a dark blue color. In any case, the package was not good at all. As a result, I received a refund from Amazon. It will be replaced by a new one. Therefore, if you get a package where the vacuum has been broken, be sure to look at the color of the dot inside. If it is still pink, it is fine. Otherwise, the package cannot be received. Contains only a warning.

I write this review only in the interests of transparency. Most of the time, they are terrific, but accidents can.

There is no action taken by them
4/5

There is no heat generated by them. I have seen no evidence that they do anything. You may know that they are little packets of rice flour. *Update I changed it to 4 stars because I think it might be me and I don't want to give an unfair review. I will continue researching and experimenting with it in order to determine if it has any effect. There was no pink dot on them. The lid has been pulled down on them and they are in jars with an indicator with another brand. We'll see if the indicator turns pink / it pulls down. It is unlikely that reputable suppliers simply send out bunk packets, but it would be nice if there was some way for me to know what the supplier's.

I am satisfied with the product
4/5

My order was delivered quickly and My first objective was to break them down into packages of ten and vacuum pack them. So, I put all the sealed bags into a larger vacuum seal bag with the test button inside, so I can use only a small amount of the supply at a time without wasting the bulk of it. The storage bag can then It is a good value for the money, but I would probably get the 50ct bag next time. There is no guarantee I will be able to use these on time. The majority of my work with the jars is to seal dehydrated foods in medium-sized Mason jars. You're going to hear the lid seal ping when you place this oxygen absorber in there! These are ideal for jars that have been opened, but still need to remain at room temperature for a couple of In terms of freshness, they do make a difference. To preserve them for long periods of time, I also put them in plastic and mylar vacuum bags.

As far as we could tell, they work fine, but they need to be kept in a vacuum
4/5

It appears that they work fine, but must be kept as much as possible in a vacuum. Taking care of small batches of mason jars or vacuum-pack containers is a good idea After you have opened the package of sealed MREs, I highly recommend you keep them in the jelly-like container right away Glass jars and vaccum cleaners - size according to the mason jar Put a seal on it right away. Make sure to only use one jar at a time, and refill If you need to get anything out, seal as soon as possible. The first time I put them all in a quart jar, I opened it repeatedly and half of them degraded It's that learning curve again! We were fortunate not to have to spend too much money on this.

These products are as good as they say they are! Using this product helps preserve the freshness of my dried food
5/5

The device is very easy to use and has a little disk that changes colors when exposed to light. My favorite part of this is when I put them in a canning jar so I can easily eat them. It is very hot when the packets are open in the jar. You can open a little bit, but try not to open too.

As far as I can tell, they are inert
3/5

During this period, they do not get warm! A 24 hour period was used to test them. Make sure the temperature stays around The trash will take care of these. It would be foolish to risk losing large quantities of sealed items to crappy products.

As far as I can tell, they were expired when they were delivered to me
3/5

My clients gave me one quart Mylar bag along with the oxygen absorbers in order to store some beans and rice. I used one oxygen absorber per bag to make They still had a lot of air inside them the next day. Afterwards, I checked the quart zip lock bag with which I had stored the extras and air was still in it. As soon as I saw the purple color on the indicator, I knew they were defective. I did not only lose a product I paid for, but ruined 24 Mylar bags as well.
