The cable would probably be long enough for the sheath and this item would get all five stars, so it should be a good deal. Almost all of the end of the sheath sticks out where the handpiece is driven. In no way close to It's threaded on the end that would secure to the motor, but it's not the same size or threaded the same as what I have. I'm sure I can find a way to make it function. Some of them may not fit motors. There's something wrong with the fitting that goes on the motor! A cast alloy, it does not fit, wobbles and vibrates when it is used. The old one was made out of machined black steel and fitted Despite having to file, hammer and bend it to make it fit and minimize vibration, it still had to be filed and bent quite a bit. There are no issues with everything except that fitting.

I bought a replacement flex shaft and housing for my Foredom TX, and they worked great

I highly recommend them. My indispensable Foredom TX bench tool has been upgraded with a flexible shaft and outer housing that are excellent replacement parts. Be really careful not to lose the little ball bearing that holds the shaft cover to the motor. It's a little time consuming to put it together. This OEM replacement may have a strange and clunky design, but that does not reflect the quality of the The flex cable was very quiet and worked a lot better than the original that I had simply worn out. Once I greased it and installed it on the motor, it was whisper quiet and worked well. As a result of various shop accidents, I burned a couple of holes through the outer housing and did not properly grease it. I am pleased with this shaft and housing as it works very well.
