This is a set of springs, and they're functional. But I ran into a few problems. br>br>One of them had a piece of paint or possibly metal dried between the spring layers, so when I compressed it, it just wouldn't get flat on one side. After further investigation, I had to use needle nose to pull something out from between the springs. It was definitely there when we arrived because the yellow paint used to finish the springs had stuck it in place. Then, after installing four springs, one corner of my bed will not sink as low as the others. I'm compressing these all the way down, but they're not all the same length, so there's probably more crud between the springs. br>br>I intend to raise the Z stop so that I can use these springs to their full potential. When they're close to being fully compressed, they're not always the same size.
I was hesitant to replace the Ender3's springs, but I'm glad I did. br>The springs are much stiffer than the originals, and the bed has not gone out of level since I installed them. Since I installed them, I haven't had to level the bed. I double-checked the level after 20 prints, and it was still dead on. br>It was well worth the money.
We were excited to install this product after seeing it mentioned as an upgrade in a YouTube video because we were having bed leveling issues with the stock Ender 3 Pro springs. They were quick to arrive, but the stiffer springs were too long, causing our print head to collide with the bed. It wasn't enough to fully compress the springs with our weight on the bed and the dials all the way tight. br>These springs are not recommended for the Ender 3 Pro.
I was skeptical at first, but they appear to require far less readjustment than the stock springs included with my Creality Ender 3v2. I only required four, so I'm not sure what the benefit of having ten is. For six fewer springs, I would have happily paid less. Some customers may purchase them in order to use them with multiple printers. br>br>In any case, if I need six very stable small orange screws at any point in the rest of my life, I'll be ready. If/when that time comes, I'll update this review.
As you become more familiar with FDM printing, you'll realize how critical it is for printers to have good bed springs. I'm glad I paid attention and didn't buy the longer ones, which appear to cause a lot of problems for users, primarily due to sizing issues.
This pack came with enough springs to do my Voxelab Aquila, which I purchased for an Ender 3 V2. Both printers have now reached a high level of stability. I don't have to worry about bed leveling between prints because I remove the glass bed to remove completed prints. It had a significant impact on my printing success rate. Above and beyond anything else. Simply ensure that your bed is properly leveled.
I used to have to level the bed before each print before adding these, but now it stays level. This is the best way to improve an Ender 3 Pro's initial performance. The glass bed should be the next upgrade you make. All of your adhesion issues will disappear if you clean it with alcohol on a regular basis.
NOTE: DO NOT USE WITH THOSE METAL EXTRUSION EXTRUSION EXTRUSION EXTRUSION EXTRUSION EXTRUSION EXTR (I've seen people use them on the internet, and it's always the source of the issue they're describing).
