Your money won't be wasted. As I read the reviews of other magnet wire on Amazon and noted the numerous complaints of broken wires or tangling, I decided to take a risk on this wire by using it There was a big blunder. We are happy to report that the spool was not damaged during shipment. As I wound the wire around a 1 1/2" PVC pipe, I got to about 265 turns when the wire disappeared into the spool without the intention of unwinding further. When I was trying to untangle it, I found I had broken the edge of the spool (see product images). The likelihood of this happening has been established, now. There is a possibility that I may cut the wire where it is, then make another loop on the surface of the spool and embark on the process There is a lot of hand-wound trash in this package. We recommend that you do not spend your money here unless you need a long wire of magnets. If you want something that won't tangle every hundred feet, then buy a machine wound item. As an additional purchase, I bought 20 AWG copper wire off Amazon, and it's large enough that having it not greatly wound is not a problem. In my opinion, 30 AWG is too small for this silliness, and it's extremely frustrating to have wasted money on something like When I buy something next time, I will invest more and get something machine-wound neatly into I have updated It was just a simple matter of cutting the spool in half and cutting a loop from the middle. Before it got caught, I got 96 turns When I tried to pull it, it snapped. During the third turn it was stuck and broke. I cut another spot on the spool. It's pretty much worthless to me, so I won't bother with it. Instead of flushing my money down the toilet, I should have flushed it down the sink. If I would have had some fun watching it spin down the drain, it would have been so much more bearable.
I was on my 14th voice coil when the wire stopped unspooling. I was initially happy and began reworking my project. The wire was difficult to get out again, and I tried gently but without success. The number of voice coils I have left has dropped by 13. This wire was put on the spool in a really bad way. What are the chances of that happening?.
There is a lot of winding on the wire, as many others have mentioned. Any use of more than 50-cent coins is not advisable You will run into problems if you walk 100 feet at a time. My guess is that those who purchase this intend to use more than a few feet of it, since it is sold on a 3000 foot spool. If that assumption is true, it would seem that wrapping the wire properly would be worth it for the company. Basically, when you plan to use a small amount of wire, it will work fine. I gave it two stars due to one thing If you use it with a small amount of wire, it is adequate. Nevertheless, if you think about it, making a wire isn't that difficult.
Gauss and Henry forecasted that it would work with 30AWG wire, so I wound it onto a core and it works. What is it about me that doesn't surprise me?
At about 1/8 of the way into the roll, the wire broke and it stopped unwinding. I tried to respool the wire, but the effort didn't work well, so now I have a blob of useless wire.
The MOD wire is great.
It's always good to see good wire.
So far it's a good product. There's a little less packaging, but it's still good.
I enjoyed it a lot.
