This item is exactly what it says it is, nothing more, nothing less. However, take care because the wire is as thin as a hair, if not thinner! Be aware that, when compared to normal wires, this wire has a fairly high resistance, namely 5 Ohms per meter. I used this for an inductor and didn't consider this, and it bit me in the arse because the resistance was higher than I could use for my project; however, there was nothing wrong with the wire. Take note of the following: BEFORE YOU BUY, DO THE CALCULATIONS. That is all there is to it.
This was purchased in order to create a completely different type of pickup for an electric guitar. This product arrived on time and in a very nicely packaged box with heavy protection inside the box. br>The design is not the same as a regular pickupbr>This product arrived on time and in a very nicely packaged box with heavy protection inside the box. br>br>This is the wire that goes into guitar pickups (standard. Other gauges, such as 43 or 44, require different turns, resulting in a small roll on the guitar pickup. This is why people have issues with different gauges because the thickness will fool your eyes into OVER Turnage, as I call it. This is a good option if you need a very thin magnet wire for a low-power application. I used it to run two wires through a hole that was less than 1/8th of an inch in diameter in model railroading, and it worked flawlessly.
Small inductors are a breeze to make.
It's a fine wire, but it's extremely thin. When winding magnets and soldering, you must exercise extreme caution.
I used it to build an electric guitar pickup with my kid for a STEM Fair project, and I still have about half of it left over, and I'm tempted to build another single coil for my Strat.
It's perfect, and I adore it! That was exactly what I was looking for. Arrived on schedule as stated in the description.
It appeals to me.
