Using this wire, I was able to make circuits to steal joules by winding toroid cores. The program works really well for this type of project. As for an electromagnet build, I would imagine it would be great. For those who plan on manufacturing joule theft circuits, this wire is a good idea.
Finished a qrp project by winding toroids with this material.
I was looking for some really fine wire for this project. That's about all I've got to say Copper wire coated with a red resin is attached to a spool.
A good wire, bought it for a science project, got a perfect score.
