It is great for building electromagnets with the wire. It turns out that the item was poorly handled and faulty. When it arrived, one side of the spool had cracked and separated. Unwinding a spool causes it to tangle up within itself and it becomes ineffective for continuing to unwind. There will be no point in sorting it all out if I order another spool of wire. A broken spool is their fault, but I still have to unwind the broken spool, which is my fault. Edit *br*br (see the new photo) I have just received the new spool of wire. A 60% crack is present around the i in the spool once again. My pop-off is just a few moments away. My concern is that the wire is really tight on the spool, and therefore is not a handling issue. There might have simply been too much force applied to it. Please be aware of this issue when ordering this product. I will try to use it as soon as possible.
