A vintage 1985 Volvo Station Wagon has been purchased by my husband, who is restoring it! We had an issue with the rear hatch lifts missing this part - the lifts are now attached and working perfectly! Amazon is awesome! Thank you for such a smooth ride!.
In the picture, the picture shows JUST the socket, and I am not sure what happened while other reviewers were reviewing before my purchase. Those were all the details I also noticed that the size of the socket was correct ( 10mm with m8). It looks as if they're well built This is a great product and I will deftly order more if the need arises.
That's a huge improvement over the cheap crap that came with my Hood Strut kit, the tolerance is good, the retention wire works great, and it's got a really nice.
It is the plastic end of the gas lift kit that broke on my hot rod hood spring. In addition, the ends looked more appropriate for this application and won't be affected by the heat under the hood.
Although it was not the size I expected, it is what I expected.
The correct size is the cap only.
It is only the cap and not the ball that is included. In the image, both the ball and the cap can be seen.
