Can you tell me what stainless grade these are?

There was no information on the student's grade in secondary school. For my purposes, it was not a problem. The axle collars were made from them.

How wide is it? How thick is it?

At the moment, I do not have collars with me, but they are approximately 3/4"

As long as the wheels remain on the axle, the axle remains steady

According to the advertisement, the product is as described. An additional 1/2" hole in the middle of the ring is provided. It is rotated clockwise to tighten and counterclockwise to loosen the set screw.
The collar will not fall off if the set screw is tightened. It'd be a great product to buy again if I needed to hold wheels on an axle in the future.

It is absurd that neither the description nor any of the photos hint to the fact that the item is made in China. I purchased from an American seller who ships from America thinking I was getting an American product. If I had purchased, I would not have done so. This item was made in the United States, and it will look terrible when restored. We have learned from this experience.
