The kit says that they are 3/4 inches in diameter, but they were really 12mm

It states they are 3/4" bores, but they came out a little small and required a little machining to fit my application, which was for a wheelbarrow wheel to be attached to.

The way it should be is straight forward. The screw is tightened by pulling on the side, making sure the shaft is held tight. It does its job well and is of superior quality.

On the Goldquest 1400 impact mill, Climax steel collars are used to keep everything in place

As an extra measure to ensure that the Dayton Coupling and the shafts are both held in place, I use these couplers on the shafts (3 each). Loc Tite Blue is also used for all sets screws to make them more secure, so they will.
