I bought two of these to cheaply equip my DIY CNC router with the appropriate couplers. They. work. I guess. br>br>Of the four couplers I received, one was the wrong size: I needed 10 by 8mm couplers, and this one was an 8-by-8mm coupler. > I should have returned the part right then and there, but for some reason I didn't. In my (weak) defense, I was working on a tight budget, which is a rookie mistake with these projects because they're money, time, and sanity sinkholes. br>br>I tried to resize the wrong coupler, but it exploded because it was made of pure, distilled chinesium. The three on the CNC router seem to work fine, but I'm sure they'll snap if I crash the machine too hard. br>br>In any case, I wouldn't buy them again. They're fragile and have no quality control, but they'll probably suffice for a 3D printer build.
It significantly improved the layer uniformity and smoothness. When used in conjunction with an anti-inflammatory, the result is a powerful anti-inflammatory With the z wobble mod installed at the top of the printer, it produces results that are comparable to those of a higher-end printer such as the Prusa. It's a good idea to put an 8mm ball bearing in the middle of the shaft to keep it from spinning. This provides curved support for the lead screw's base as it moves, preventing the coupler coil from compressing and ruining the effect over time. Well worth the time and effort to install.
I ordered two sets of these couplers, and none of them are identical in appearance. Worse, none of them are concentrically round, resulting in serious misalignment. In comparison to set screws, clamp style is definitely the way to go, but shaft couplers should be sought elsewhere.
The parts are described with accuracy. The main image on this page makes these look like 5mm to 8mm couplings, but they are actually 8mm to 8mm couplings, as stated in the description. br>br>However, the clamping technique corresponds to the image: There are no set screws; instead, screw clamps are used. br>br>I'll update this review if I have any problems with them over time, but none have come up in the two days I've had them.
The item does not appear to be what it appears to be. I was looking for a very specific piece of hardware and thought I had found it after searching everywhere. It turns out it's the same low-cost, barbaric design I could have purchased from any other Amazon seller. Very let down. For the time being, I believe I'm done with Amazon.
These aren't designed to take a lot of abuse, and I've already broken one, but I think I was asking too much of a flex connection.
I've used these on a CNC with ball screws and have had no issues with holding power, even though one of them only has 6mm of shaft gripping.
