The coupler appealed to me because it appeared to be sturdy and well-made. One of them began to separate the upper and lower halves for no apparent reason. Yes, I'm afflicted with Z. The axis wobbles slightly, but not enough to separate the couple, and the lead screw is straight. For the coupler to stay and hold securely, it requires a lot of force on the clamping screws. I'm not sure if they're supposed to be bolted on or if there should be a gap between them. br>As with most modern components, there is little or no instruction, or at least none that is easily accessible.
I tried it on my Ender 5 Plus 3D printer and it worked. One of the couplings was out of alignment, causing the dual thread rod Z axis to wobble dramatically. I'm not sure if I got a bad one, but I'm not going to order from them again.
So far, everything has gone well!.
Because the tolerances on these couplings are too loose, they require a lot of force to tighten properly, and the holes aren't aligned.
The only issue I've had is that it seemed to lose hold at one point, not sure why, but it did. Aside from that, everything is in good working order.
The new couplers are a huge step up from the old ones.
It looks great on the A8. Plus, all I had to do was slightly bias them towards the motor to allow the carriage to fully descend.
Because the holes aren't aligned, there's a lot of wobble.
