Stens isn't what I think it is

Stens belt was delivered today, although there is nothing to indicate it's a Stens thing other than the plastic bag it came in. There is a part number printed on the belt A label on the belt says it's made in India and has the M110978 number. It should have the part number 265-STEN on it with a Stens logo Since I've concluded this is not a Stens, but some aftermarket product, I've decided it's not a Stens at all. In lieu of this belt, I am going back to the Orgegon belt.

I purchased a new drive belt for my John Deere LX176 that fit this exact part # M110978. There is no guarantee that the belt will last more than three years, but it seems to be a decent alternative to OEM belts. The replacement of the drive belt was a real pain.

There is no Stens in the group, but a Jason

A Jason belt was given to me instead of a Stens belt. On the basis of the reviews, I don't know if I can trust the quality. There might be a chance to shorten it a bit.

A replacement power belt is required for John Deere machines

This belt is just what I expected - and it worked without a hitch, arrived quickly as promised. The mowing machine has been used about 30 hours so far with the new belt, not a single issue. Some areas of my property are quite tall at times, so I mow them frequently. It is a yes. I would buy it again. With my last belt I got 20 years out of it, I'm looking forward to seeing if this will last as long. You can ask me and I'll let you know when I have more information.
