A tensioner for the shroud was designed. Copies of the BOX are to be made This device comes with all the instructions on the outside. The extra cost is not that bad, but if you trailer your boat a lot, then it is You will wear out the box that came with the Tension scale eventually. You may also want to refer to this post in case somebody else wishes to utilize the Tool effectively. Besides that, it serves as a wonderful tool to replace your 'best guess' when setting the mast for a sailing trip. You will need a lanyard and clip to keep the lanyard from flying overboard (these holes have been designed for this purpose) and you are fine.
The little tool I am using is a "must have" for sailboat owners like me. In my position as an engineer, I was concerned about whether or not the cable tension in my sailboat's mast was sufficient and consistent and now that I have this gauge, There is no chance that my mast is going to collapse unexpectedly as it is vertically aligned, the cable tension in the side and forestay is reasonable, and I am confident my mast won't collapse together.
In order to insure each cable had a similar tension, this did the trick. I would give it five stars, but nothing is perfect. I would purchase it again, but I'm not sure that would be necessary since I think it will also.
As a result of their backed up schedule, the boat yard sent my commissioning paperwork to the wrong mail box this year, leaving me to rig my boat myself. In addition to the PT-100, I purchased this This is my second purchase from 2M, and I am very pleased. It is safe to say that the $300 I spent in total has paid for itself in A second thing I appreciate is the fact that I can check tension during the summer and make changes when necessary. The price is high, given that it probably only costs a few bucks to make, however there are no other options.
The product does what it should.
It looked like hell on the outside, but the product inside was great.
I liked the product, but I wasn't a fan of the plastic parts that were used in making it.
Small sailboats can use this tension tool to check and adjust the rigging tension with outstanding consistency. This is a great racing sailboat for small boats.
