Outside of the bearing housing to the end of the flat threaded portion, the bearing housing measures 2 1/8 inches in overall length. The flat side of this piece measures 5/8 inches wide. A knife filing jig is attached to this rod end. Considering it will not be used in a high-pressure application, I cannot comment on the durability or how long it will last. However, I am certain that it will do the job. It will keep the jig angle and arc set when.
I mounted them to my 1967 Camaro clutch peddle rod, and they worked quite well.
This was used to replace a ball and socket I used to have a garden tractor with socketed tie rod ends. I'm amazed at how much easier it is to steer now that they have been added It seems like you have power steering all of a sudden. Having your ball joints pop off is no longer an issue. The cost and effort it takes to replace are well worth it.
Good product at a good price. This is the right tool for the job.
The bolts are fine. I sprayed some white lithium grease on it for lubrication, since that's what I had on hand.
