How can I determine the right thread direction for male and female rod ends? Do they have to have a matching rh/rh pattern or should they be opposite?

In the instance where you want to adjust the length of the connecting rod by turning it while the ends are attached, get a R/H thread on one end and a L/H thread on the other.
