Questions & Answers
Our range of Bearing Buddy products includes models made from chrome and stainless steel. It is the material used for the outer housing that makes a difference. A chrome model is a plain steel model plated with chrome. Stainless steel is used for the outer housing of stainless steel models. The inner components of both are made of stainless steel. It is best to buy stainless steel models since they are corrosion-resistant, but they are slightly more expensive.
I am not aware of any. Highways are where I spend a lot of time driving. Speed of 65/70 miles per hour. So far I have not experienced any problems.
It is best to borrow or purchase a good pair of calipers if you cannot get the diameter information from the trailer manufacturer. As far as the 1 goes, I'm going to pick it up. It started out 98" but I just bought calipers and realized I needed 2 of them. This is "047". Then ETrailer is the place to go if Amazon doesn't have what you need. Each increment made by Bearing Buddy is available at BearingBuddy.com.

For 2 sets, there is a $20. 00 shipping charge. I have been using these products for more than 20 years. They are They do not leak when you have one with the blue auto-check in the center like this. You had to worry about seeingp fluid and making a mess when you got the other ones that had springs on the outside. As you can see, I added two photos, one being what I had on there prior to the bearing Buddy being installed and another showing the dust cover. I have always found these work excellent in freshwater however, if they are placed in salt water, they will rust and corrode and will not function properly. If you are going to use them for saltwater, then you should get the stainless steel version.
It was either a bad grease gun or a bad buddy that wouldn't release from the grease fitting. An extra grease gun was bought from the same shop and I could not get it to release the grease! My first attempt was a success, but pulling it off with more strength and force than I ever expected was difficult. The item on which something was wrong was faulty! My grease gun has been replaced, and Amazon's customer service will let me return it. I have since purchased an even better grease gun from them.
Water is kept out of the bearings when they work as they should.
On one of the four items I bought, the chrome had started peeling off. A few of them did not seem to be exactly the same size or the hubs were off on bore size. One installation was particularly challenging as it was off on both sides.
I found the bearing Buddy to be a perfect fit for my Easyloader boat trailer. I found the installation to be very simple. A new bearing sealer was utilized to replace an old, rusted one.
I used it on a boat trailer and it worked great. Don't worry about the size, just get the correct one.
If you don't, you're missing out on a must-have.
The work is done and then there's nothing else to.
