Both sides of the bearings are sealed. We recommend you repack the bearings with a bearing grease made in the United States. As if Vaseline petroleum jelly is used to grease them, bearing grease is too thin. The bearings are otherwise excellent. The lawn mower pulley bearings need to be replaced.
Please note that the external double seal is not a problem as long as they are the same size and the same configuration. Our Customer Service Team at XiKe Bearing is here to help.

I bought them to replace the bearings in the lower mower deck cap stand for my 1946 snapper They were manufactured in China, and as with any product made in China, some issues were evident right out of the gate and will need to be addressed to make the product right or at the very least improve. It seems the bearings are covered in grease that looks suspiciously like Vaseline petroleum jelly, and there is not enough of it at that. Vaseline is NOT good grease for a cassette bearing, since it provides little to no protection from water In the event that you do not remedy this problem now, your bearings will no longer last.
You will need to buy a small tub of heavy-duty (high-temperature) wheel bearing grease for your car to go with these bearings. The rubber seal must be picked off using a stiff pick or ultra fine screw driver, being careful not to bend it, should pop right out with just a slight nudge, then wipe away the thin Vaseline like grease inside the bearing with a clean cloth Make sure all the inside of the bearing gets covered in grease, spin the bearing several times to verify it is completely covered. The grease not only lubricates the bearing, but also removes frictional heat from the case it rides in, resulting in a cooler bearing. removing the rubber seal cover, reinstall it carefully as it should just pop right in place. Again, do not bend it while installing. It is now time to install the bearing after it has been properly greased. I would have given it a much higher rating if the bearing had come with a dallop of quality grease, but you get what you pay for. Spend five additional minutes ensuring that the bearing is properly lubricated before the failure occurs, and you will save hours of work later when it fails due to a lack of My hope is that this information will help everyone who purchases China Be careful not to trust them straight out of the package. Grease them always.
For my mower blade towers, I bought these bearings to replace the lower bearings. There are some good quality bearings in the bearing box, however they are not very well-lubricated. 10 small individual boxes containing each one bearing in a plastic bag and arrived in a box with 10 small individual boxes. In spite of reading reviews about the lubrication, I purchased these and carefully removed the grease seals to find that almost no lubrication was present, and what was there was My initial step was to clean out the old grease and pack the bearings with a synthetic moly grease for wheel bearings and CV joints, and then repack the bearings A seal has been installed. It is expected that they will last a very long time now.
In terms of pack materials, I assume this to be vaseline. If you plan to use them under continual loading, you will need to remove the shields and repack them with molybdenum To prevent loss, the tubes are kept together in a plastic tube that can be resealed. If you buy 10 of these, you will get one high quality bearing for the price of 10, but they will require grease before they can be used. As opposed to a high-quality product, these side shields are rubber coating metal and so much easier to remove. Therefore, it is better to do it before you use it.
I bought them to replace the spindle bearings on a 46" MTD lawn tractor cutting deck (three blades, so there were A perfect fit and smooth operation can be found in these shoes. After I started the blades for the first time, I was at a loss as to what was going on. I have deducted a star as usual because of imported goods.
It is extremely well designed and works well with my Cub Cadet LX1040. With these bearings, it is much cheaper than replacing the whole spindle, and it is very simple to rebuild them.
To repair the spindles of a mower deck I bought 19 years ago, I am replacing these bearings. In the event that future repairs are needed, I like to keep a few extra parts on hand. Nearly the same price for two bearings could be found at my local dealer for all ten items (10) I purchased. These are the second set of bearings I purchased as I have six spindles on my mower deck that is 20 years old. Every time one of the bearings goes bad, I remove it from the cart and put the other three in its place. After I've replaced the bearings on all three spindles on the deck, I replace the screws. Since I can get 10 bearings for the price of 2 at the local repair shop, I save a lot of time and money. Once I place the order, I receive the bearings in less than 48 hours.
In the pre- The two sides of the bearing are lubricated and sealed. In reviews, I've seen people pop out the seals, clean out the lube, "pack" the bearings with grease, and expect their apps to perform well. I wish you success in that endeavor. When grease is packed too heavily, it is almost as bad as grease that is not packed well. I'm not telling you what to do. Any bearing manufacturer or industrial reliability site will provide you with this information.
As a result of my failed bearings at the wheels of my F800GS I purchased these bearings to replace them. Fortunately, both wheels only use 5x6204 bearings. Despite the tight rolling bearings with no slop in the inner race, they wheel smoothly. It appeared that the bearings had been greased from the factory before I examined them. The problem is that too much can be just as damaging as too little, so you don't want to overdo it Bearings are sealed in the package.
