Questions & Answers

Why do you need 20 springs when you only need four? Is this a set of 16 extra springs that will be used later? Is there anything I'm overlooking?

I'm going to try my hand at it; Because they are so inexpensive to produce, this company wants you to have extras in case you lose one or one breaks. If you are a teacher (pre-K through 12th grade), You probably have a fleet of 3D printers if you work for covid) or a company that works with 3D printers. Most likely, you have 16 extra springs for your 3D prints, just like the rest of us. So get creative with those extra springs and create some cool designs!

Is it possible to use these springs in a glass bed? It appears that I will be unable to lower the bed any further in order for the nozzle to clear the glass bed. ?

They're used in conjunction with a glass bed for me. Simply adjust your z stop a little.

Is it possible to use these on a CR-? 10 V3?

It's possible that these are insufficiently long. For the CR series printers, you might want to get 25mm long.

When I tried to level the bed after using these, I couldn't get it any lower, so the nozzle is now dragging along the bed; how can I avoid this?

When I installed these, I tightened the knobs all the way down to compress the Spring, then released the tension by turning the knobs four or five full turns. br>Then lower the z axis by hand until it is almost touching the bed. The z axis cut off switch must then be adjusted. (It appears that yours needs to be increased.)

These springs are ideal for replacing the stock springs in the Ender 3! These were purchased as a small, low-cost upgrade for my Ender 3 3D printer, and they work flawlessly
5/5

Although the stock springs that came with my printer weren't particularly "bad," I noticed that these are significantly stiffer than my original springs after receiving them. Increasing the stability of my printing bed. If you have a 3D printer with springs on the print bed, like the Ender 3, I would highly recommend these as a small investment! Advantages: br>br>
- They are incredibly simple to set up! Replace the springs in the bottom of your print bed by unscrewing the adjustment knobs and replacing them with these new ones. With these new springs, replace the adjustment knobs in the print bed and you're finished! Continue to print after you've leveled your bed. D
- They are yellow in color. That could be a pro or a con, depending on your preferences, but it does, in my opinion, give the printer a more "performance" look. At the very least, it gives Ender 3 a more complex appearance. br>br>Cons:
- Nothing. I got 20 springs in a small bag, and they're perfect for what I need them for! br>br> If I ever need more springs for my printer, I'll definitely buy these again!.

What a fantastic improvement! However, there are parts missing from the package
3/5

These springs arrived quickly and are a fantastic upgrade for the Ender 3 V2 that improves bed comfort significantly. balancing performance The manufacturing tolerances on the units I received are uniformly excellent, and all are in excellent mechanical condition, unlike some other reviews I've read. br>br>At this time, I can only give 2 stars because the package only contained 19 rather than 20 springs. This has nothing to do with the springs' quality, but it's a major annoyance/frustration because I require all 20. br>br>If/when I receive a response from the seller, I will update this rating, because if the package had been complete, these would have been a 5-star rating. a five-star product. br>br>update: 5/10/2021 I have yet to hear from the seller, despite the fact that it has been over a month. The springs have settled in a little more and are still performing better than stock, but they do come with their own set of issues. Overall, I still think the item is worth the money, but the seller's customer service is non-existent at this time. I'm giving it a one-star rating. As before, if/when I receive a response from the seller, as well as as product performance (d)evolves, I will update this review accordingly.

These were purchased for my Ender 3 V2 and performed as expected
5/5

These did exactly what they were supposed to do, they arrived on time, and I'm very pleased with my purchase. br>br>If you're new to 3D printing and want to get these to upgrade a printer you just bought, you might want to wait until you figure out whether you want a BL touch or a CR touch auto bed leveling system. If you plan to upgrade to a BL or CR touch in the future, you should order the silicone spacers instead of the bed springs. br>br>Silicone spacers are a little more consistent; in other words, once you've adjusted the bed with the silicone spacers, you'll almost never have to adjust it again because the ABL can compensate for minor deviations. br>br>However, with springs, you can cause the bed to be out of level by simply prying a part off the bed too hard, forcing you to re-level the bed. The bed should be level.

It didn't fit on my Ender 3 v2 machine
3/5

All of the other reviews claim that these work well with their Ender 3 v2 printer, which perplexes me. I was really excited to put these in, but even at full compression, they're simply too long, and the bed can't go low enough without contacting the nozzle at the home position. I tightened the leveling knobs all the way down until the spring coils were completely touching and I couldn't go any further. I still needed the bed to be about 1-inch higher than it was. Lower by 2 mm. I'm still going to use these, but only one or two coils will be cut off. They are much stronger and appear to work well; however, I am disappointed that they claim to fit the Ender 3 V2 but did not fit my stock setup. It could be because of the thickness of your bed surface. The textured glass bed that came with the printer is what I'm using. These might work fine if your bed is thinner.

Ender 3 v2 requires it
5/5

Some Ender3 leveling guides recommend cranking the rear left wheel all the way down with the cable support, then leveling the rest of the bed to match, so the springs are tight and don't move as much. However, when I tried this on the Ender 3 V2, it didn't work because the bed needs to be higher or else it will hit the printer's motor at the back. In order for the bed to sit high enough to clear the motor, the springs should only be lightly compressed. The handwheel on the right front corner of my V2 was completely loose and could spin freely after I adjusted the back to clear the motor and then leveled the front. This isn't a good situation to be in. Because these springs are slightly longer, upgrading to them solved the problem. It's a great upgrade, and I'd also recommend getting a BLTouch because it's super simple to install on the V2 and works great.

IMMEDIATELY swap out your stock springs for these
5/5

Okay, these bed springs are excellent and long-lasting! Several people in 3D printing forums advised me to buy these before buying my Ender 3 V2 so that I could replace them right away. So I made the correct decision! The bed springs that come with your Ender 3D printer are extremely flimsy. You won't have to level your bed as often if you use these bed springs. These bed springs will help to keep your bed more level than stock springs. The difference in durability between these and stock springs is immediately apparent. Definitely purchase these and replace your stock springs as soon as possible! What's great is that you get multiple sets, so you can make multiple 3D printer beds or save the rest for when you need to replace them (which could be a long time because these are extremely durable).
