Questions & Answers

What is the maximum AWG size that this device can handle?

According to the specifications, this item is rated for 200 amps, and the published wire table specifies a 2 AWG wire size for this current. The DKJ10 has a hole in it. The wire is 9/32" inside diameter (plus a little) or large enough for. 0621 sq. in. Wire with a surface area of 40 square millimeters when converted to mm. mm. Due to the fact that 2 AWG is 35 sq. mm. There's plenty of room in the hole for 2 AWG wire to be inserted easily. The area of one AWG is 50 square feet. mm. As a result, 1 AWG won't work. Summary: This unit requires 2AWG cable, with a maximum of 200 amps for 100 feet of cable. STG

Is the clamp welding cable or the stick, electrode cable usually connected with a red connector?

I picture red and black as the positive and negative sides of a car battery, with red being positive and black being negative. Because the clamp is typically used as the welding ground, I have it as the black end. The electrode would be red if you wanted to use two different colors. Different colors, on the other hand, aren't required.

Is this compatible with self-serve gas stations?

There is no gas-tight seal on the connectors. These will work if your gas line is not connected to your electrical connectors. To convert my Lincoln 225 amp A/C stick welder to a DC welder, I bought several sets and a 350 amp rectifier. They perform admirably. These connectors are too small for my Everlast combination welder (MIG/TIG/STICK), which I bought later.

Connecting a Klutch Spool Gun to a Harbor Freight Titanium Welder was a breeze
5/5

For my Harbor Freight Titanium Multiprocess 200 welder, I recently bought a Klutch 150 spool gun. The DC cable ring connector on the SG is quite thick, perhaps a 2AWG, but it fits right in the connector and the set screw held it tight. A better solution was to replace the ring connector with this DINSE connector and simply plug it into the front of the machine. The DINSE connector itself appeared to be brass and fit snugly into the socket. br>br>Installing these requires stripping about 1/2 inch of insulation from the cable before running it through the rubber insulator. Then, using the set screw, secure the braided cable in the brass connector. The connector should be pushed into the rubber insulator after pulling back the cable. The brass connection has two slots, but the rubber insulator only accepts one of them. Because it's a tight fit, a dab of Vaseline can help.

It does exactly what it says
4/5

I needed to change the cables on a small stick welder that came with 6' leads to 2 ga. I was concerned because these 10-foot-long wires had a tendency to tangle. 25 connectors are usually restricted to 4 ga or metric 25mm2 cable, both of which are extremely difficult to come by. When they arrived, I noticed a copper wire wrap that I hadn't expected, but I was concerned that using it would make getting the 2 ga wire in even more difficult. I was able to use the wrap and the wire went in without difficulty, but I had to clamp the connector in a vise while tightening the set screw to get it even enough to slide the boot back up. The connectors make good, tight contact with the welder and hold the wire in place very well.

They were simple to install in the panel (once the slotted holes were properly drilled)
5/5

I ordered two of these to replace the panel connectors on an old Lincoln air conditioner. 225- The leads were built into the welder on the old Lincoln. These connectors allow me to remove the leads when not in use by passing through two holes in the machine's front. If longer cables are required, alternate cables should be used. They were simple to install in the panel (once the proper slotted holes had been prepared) and appear to hold the mating fittings securely.

I Had to Throw Them Away! The locking/twist lugs on these dinse connectors were much smaller than the ones I ordered from WeldingCity, and they didn't fit my welder correctly! br>br>Also, the rubber grommet is too soft and does not seal around the welding cable as well as it should, allowing dirt, debris, and water to enter and corrode the connector from behind unless you use electrical tape to close the gap! br>br>In addition, the set screw was too short for the hole bored in these connectors, and I was using 6 AWG welding cable (which I had to shim with a thin piece of copper sheet metal)! br>br>In the end, I threw these dinse connectors in the trash and replaced them with ones from WeldingCity, which are far superior! br>br>Trust me, it's worth it to spend a little more on your connectors, and if your order isn't fulfilled by Amazon, you'll have to wait for them to arrive from Korea!

These fittings were a revelation for me when I decided to use a 300 amp AC/DC rectifier to convert my Lincoln 225 amp AC crackerbox welding machine to run DC
5/5

I was looking for a connector for a tig torch I'd bought, and once I found the information (DINSE- For this socket, 25) went in search of panel connectors and wire adapters. This show met all of my expectations. I ordered two sets, allowing me to construct one set of ARC leads and install two sets of ARC leads. Now that I've plugged the panel connections into the machine, I've got two solid AC connection points and two solid DC connection points. In contrast to the fitting on my tig torch, the wire side has a substantial feel. I changed the torch lead with one of the male connections, and it now has a great engagement. br>I bought two more sets and had my mig machine retrofitted with them. This format has some connections. I've discovered the best thing. Now to.

It was simple for me to upgrade
5/5

An old Lincoln Tombstone AC arc welder was in my possession. I wanted to upgrade the system by adding a DC rectifier, and then I wanted to be able to switch between DCEN and DCEP (DC Electrode Negative/DC Electrode Positive) with ease. And if I needed to, I could easily switch back to the regular AC. It's time to bring old and new technology together once more. To burn the 7018s, I didn't need to buy a new DC arc welder. Yes, I am aware that they have 7018AC. They're not the same as the ones in DC, though.

A GOOD HIGH AMPERE CONNECTOR SET, AT LAST
5/5

Excellent quality, sturdy connector that is simple to install and plug in. which is still attached to the female connector For that type of connector, it's a fair price. You can also use the Battery Solar Power Supply to connect to any Voltage Regulator that you've built yourself. br> Definitely, I'll order another pair of sets to keep in reserve for our other Power Supply Inventions, 12V Battery Systems, and Solar Power Banks, which we're working on right now. br>The only minor flaw is that the socket's color does not match that of the plastic sturdy rubber connector, but that isn't a problem for me because I will paint it the same color. br>Fast shipping in ziplock bags is also available.

Connectors that work well
5/5

For my inverter stick welder, these connectors were ideal. My welder came with adequate leads that were not overbuilt in any way. When I saw these connectors on Amazon for $7, I decided to make some new ones instead of using the dinse connectors from my old leads. I figured I'd give them a shot and have two sets of leads in case I ever needed them. For the ground lead, I used 3AWG and it worked perfectly. I couldn't find any more, so I had to go to my local welding supply store and buy some 2AWG. I was able to get the 2AWG connector into the hole with plenty of room to spare, but I couldn't get the set screw flush with the connector's outside. As a result, the rubber housing did not sit flush around the connector, making it difficult to connect. It would be nice if these came with two sizes of set screws, one short for large cables and the other longer for smaller gauge cables. br>br>Overall, they're great, and they even came with a copper shim inside the connectors for use with smaller gauge cables.
