This product is well worth the money and a GREAT DEAL! It has been my career since 1972 in the military. I'm 68 years old. It is my first time using the plasma cutter. I'd heard of them before, but never operated one. Yesterday, Amazon delivered this item to my home. The tool was used to cut some 1/8 stainless steel and some 1/4 mild steel plate a few minutes ago. I only have one word to describe it In fact, this is my first time ever using a plasma cutter or having even a glimpse of one in action. A big plate I cut is 1/4 inch, I don't have a big shop The third eighth. If I have to use oxygen, I hope I do not have to It would be nice to cut with the same account I found the instructions for the machine a little vague but it's not difficult to understand. It was some of the best money I have ever invested and some of the best money I have ever spent. Countless things could be said, but I won't be able to sum them up. The book is worth the price and provides great value for money. make sure to let all my friends know this is the machine they should also have.
Three plasma cutters I have bought in the last two years were all named brands and cost My shop was emptied of all the items. I figured I would get a cheapie this time, so that when it was stolen, I would not feel so bad. I just bought another one for my son. I don't notice any difference in performance, and the consumables cost a fifth of the price.
My home shop has benefitted from purchasing this item. No damage to the package upon arrival. It appeared to be solidly constructed. The 110/220 version was the first I got, and I started out with the 110 side. Due to a blown breaker on 110, I had a 220 converted to the correct plug socket ($80 that I will not be able to recoup). It worked well for 15 minutes again and was better than the first time. It must have been about 9 inches of plate that I cut off, and the unit just stopped working. As far as I could tell, everything looked fine to me. Despite the fact that the "owner's manual" (seven pages of poorly worded phrases) failed to list the "o/c" light, I still did not understand what it meant. As I noted in the fault checklist, there is damage to a board, and I will be inspecting It is clearly stated that I am not to "dismantle" it though. Hence, the obvious con of this device is that it failed after about 30 minutes of use (maximum). The following cons are present as well It is of no value to have the owner's manual. Moreover, it doesn't mention the size of air stream you should be able to apply to your machine. It is difficult to tighten the air fittings and the tighteners Please find attached the email the seller sent to me. Being my first plasma cutter, I am no expert, but this has made life a lot easier for me as I am restoring a Making old parts disappear is quick and easy with this tool. The only complaint I have with my unit is that the electrodes that came with it were slightly different than the ones that were already in the head of the unit when I received it and when I replaced the electrode it stopped striking and cutting. Initially, I had a set of consumables that were shorter than what came in the head of the unit. If it is rusted, it is very hard to get the plasma cutter to strike and begin cutting, but I am not sure if this is a normal aspect of all plasma cutters. The product would still be of interest to me even as an amateur. Update for the past six months. My goal for this is to come back and inform people that this is still going well. The blade cuts through 1/4 steel as if it isn't there at all. It would be impossible for me to work My complaints before learning to use a wire brush - you need to take it up the place from which you'll be making your strike so it cuts like butter - have gone away. A layer of rust acts like an insulator, preventing the engine from starting. After it is started, it goes through it quickly. The only rust I am talking about is severe rust. The type of rust that can be found on floors of 60 year old American cars sitting in a field.
