This is a great little device, the pilot arc works well! I would say it does pretty well for an affordable plasma cutter with pilot arc that costs less than $300
4/5

Let me highlight the quirks of my machine first. The screws that mount the air pressure regulator screw into a double nut on the inside, so you will always have to crack open the case (as I did, see photos) or use loose nuts inside the case (very To open the box, a phillips #2 screwdriver was all that was needed. I did take some pictures inside, just in case anyone knows what a plasma cutter should look like inside. I installed the regulator mount, double nutted, and put a dab of super glue on the backside. A couple of sheet metal screws would have been a better solution. As a result, I did not feel like I caused any damage to anything when removing the cover to install the regulator, everything was neatly arranged I'd like to point out the ground, which is hilariously short. This is about 46 in reality. The size of the stick is 5 inches (120 cm). Almost all of us will need to act immediately on this issue. The plug is the third. an extension cord because I did not want to cut anything before verifying In the middle is the cord itself, a 12 gauge cord. I think theoretically it will be able to handle the current (25 amps on two legs is 50 amps), but it seems really weak compared to the electrical outlet that it needs. I assume that means we're over the limit of the unit If it were 230 volt rated, you may be able to use a 30 amp outlet. It may sound silly, but I don't see any way that 2- could be effective I don't see how these could possibly deliver 50 amps at 80% duty cycle without causing a fire hazard. They lose one star in my book. Let's now talk about readying and using. Despite the air connectors being weak, 60 psi is probably enough for the job, and that will probably be the maximum. The whole line) should remain below The gauge I was given does not provide a good pressure reading, but if my line pressure is only 60, I am unlikely to cause anything to rupture. The forty pounds per square inch I cut (poorly, more on that later) needs about 40 pounds per square inch of pressure. I used thread sealant and had no leaks using a 1/4 npt male threaded air nipple. Although I used male threads, they are still suitable to be used with male 1/4 thread air regulators. You should make sure all electrical fittings are tight and clean. Furthermore, dual voltage units are known, as an aside, to have a weak switching ability (from 115v to 230v). You should always run 230v, if you are able, rather than using the 230v feature. In fact, this holds true even with high end, well known In addition, be sure to clean the area around the ground. While a torch can cut through slag and paint, it cannot cut through the ground. To use my marking tool, I tried to cut an angle of 1/4". There is nothing. As I checked over everything, I found that the small metal tip under the ceramic cone wasn't tight (there are two That's when I had the ability to The freehand cut I made was a pretty crappy freehand cut as a result of breaking the standoff. They will improve as I adjust the amperage and pressure, but I will get In the beginning of the cutting, the pilot arc worked flawlessly and the cut started off neatly. Firstly, let me share my According to the manufacturer, the plasma cutter works The price is equal to the price of a set of torches, and it is about one fifth the price of a comparable Esab unit. The blazing torch is smaller and lighter than torches. Moreover, it won't get blown away This is uppity. In all likelihood, my generator should be able to power it for most cuts. I tried to purchase the cheapest pilot arc unit on Amazon to see whether the unit would work. Despite a few things above, which are all correctable, it's a decent unit in general. It'll be fun to see how this does. I will update if I see anything noteworthy. I may upgrade the cord and correct the crimp on fittings in the future for preventative maintenance, but I am eager to see how it does as built for now. Adding a correction In the photo, I have used amperage of 38, air pressure of 45, and skate on the torch to create a better cut. It looks much better now, and upon. My pilot arc seems to work well. I am adding a shot of the torch. As indicated by the dial labeled "A", amperage is set for the Air Control System, and timing for shutting down air after the trigger has been released is set by the dial labeled "S". Although it has only cut a couple feet so far, the level of cutting impressed me for the price. The gauge reads almost identical at 60 psi compared to a known good one. My expectation was that I would find the torch sad and of low quality, but it is nothing like that. The trigger guard is even proving useful to me, as it prevents the torch from being activated if my palm touches it. Despite my doubts, I am enjoying this feature which I thought was strictly aimed at homeowners. I would also like to point out that Amazon would like me to mention the sheerness of this product, it is nonexistent. I could not find any sheerness at all. There is no light coming through it. It is always up to the individual to determine what thickness is appropriate.

I like the way this machine cuts after it is completely set up- As I usually don't buy equipment like this unless it has good reviews and is accompanied by videos, I took a chance on this machine
5/5

There were no reviews for this book and no videos available for it. I was pleased with the way the unit came To use it, just connect the electric power and air compressor. All adapters are included with it. I'm happy with the air regulator/water separator that comes with the kit. Does not come with instructions on how to assemble the machine, but I'll be able to find YouTube videos online that show how to assemble machines of this type. Besides, the recommendations did not include an amperage chart or air pressure chart. This ground cord is just over 5ft long and is a DIN 20 connector. My welders have the bigger DIN connectors. I wish this ground cord was larger so I could connect to a longer ground power I noticed that the fan was not overly loud after I got the machine set up and plugged in. I liked the feature that allows air to continue to flow after the trigger is released, helping to keep the room cool as well. The first time using, I tried 1/8" but couldn't get the cut, and the next time I tried 18ga, I couldn't get what I was trying to cut. I was using 220 volts and 50 amps of power, along with a 220 volt After separating the cutting tip to check for damaged consumables, I found the inner electrode had come Retried after tightening electrode and tip as well as the ceramic cup. It is nice and smooth to cut 18ga and 1/8" using 20a and 30psi. I bumped up to 30a and 40psi and it cut 1/4" without any problems. We have used the product for about an hour so far and have had no issues. I will update my review once I have used it a few more times.

I like the plasma cutter with pilot arc
5/5

It is very smooth, and it maintains a constant arc throughout the cut, which makes it a great cutter. The previous machine I had was an Amico CTS-1000 The Lotus 5000D had a 180 and was a nice machine, but this S7 50 amp surpasses that and is at least as good as it. Today I cut a few 1/8" inch plates at only 20 amps, and a few 1/4" inches at 35 amps, and she cut like butter all of them. Besides building atv lifts, bumpers, racks, camping stoves, we also build bumpers, bumpers, racks, racks, crates, etc. This little gem is a welcome addition to our.

I am very This thing is so cool! At my job, I run a miller Spectrum 875, and I have to say I prefer this to With a fraction of the price of a miller, this tool cuts cleaner and quicker
5/5

This is an easy fix, but the instructions were also difficult to follow. The Ground is short, but that's an easy fix. My only complaint is that it is a bad machine, not a good one. I will check in at the end of the month to see if it lasts. You should check out the tips in addition. Those who do not get an arc should remove the porcelain cup and make sure there are no loose parts, the outer electrode is screwed against the body, and the porcelain cup is securely fastened. I went through a no arc failure because my electrode was just sitting inside my nozzle. Solution that's easy to implement.

Good cutter for the price
3/5

Anyway, as soon as I get it running I'll post a review. Due to the 240 amp breaker tripping the 20 amp breaker I was using, I had to install a 240 outlet and breaker. I find it very useful when cutting on 240, but not so much when cutting Here are a few things I found annoying in the game, and why I did not save it higher. My only complaints are that the ground clamp is too short, and the wall plug is too short as well. I would have been willing to spend an extra $10 for them to be In order to work effectively, you must be within close proximity to the machine, which has to be near That simply means you need to change the layout of your working For instructions on how to set up Don't waste your time with them. Nothing but a waste of time. If this is your first time using a plasma cutter, go to YouTube to learn how to set it up. I'd say it was decent, but not outstanding.
