There were the wrong ones sent, I think. This is the first opportunity I've had to use them. In my habit, I do not wait until I need replacements, and just in time, I hadn't needed them in quite some time. I put a new electrode and nozzle in my torch and nothing happened. I observed sputtering and a The old set was returned to its original location after I fiddled around for a while. I had no problems with it. Further inspection revealed that the new parts were not identical to the OEM Hypertherm part. It is different between the two. Take a look at the These replacements are shorter on the back side of the gun, so they don't make proper contact. It's not significant enough to be noticeable without comparing them side by side. When I can, I will return them and buy the authentic ones instead. I looked at River Weld's ad again and they do not look the same as the original. Originals have solid sides and replacements have hollow sides.
A second order has been placed. It seems to be going well so far. We have used it with a 20 year old Hypertherm and have experienced very little trouble. Using my hand torch on the cnc plasma table, I converted it to be used on the machine. Now it runs faster than ever and performs much better than it did before. Due to the relatively constant height and speed of the CNC, I am able to tell how long they are going to last. I do not take out the tips almost as often It might be a bit harder to cut by hand and consume more tips, but the tip lasts longer on the CNC even for pieces that have a lot of start and stop power. They are very similar to the Hypertherm in terms of size and shape.
Consequently, 4 electrodes have failed to ignite thus far, as they are too short to achieve the proper The fifth one seems to work, but I am not sure. A lack of quality control appears to be a problem.
original manufacturer no longer made these nozzles for my machine, so I was delighted to find a similar nozzle that fits and works. I have never had an issue with these.
I found the nozzles to be just as good as the ones provided by other manufacturers. In my experience, the electrode is much better than any name brand electrode. I have not noticed any distortion after using it. The electrode was intact although the electrode was thicker and it hadn't been in contact for very long.
Does not Work.
It was exactly what we needed.
A lot of people are leery of products made in China. Using hypertherm today, I have a set on all day. The system worked just as good as the It would have been better if they were made in America.
