In order to use an alternate fuel gas with Victor torches, you simply need to change the tips.

The head of the pen can be detached from the handle. Can a rosebud be used with it?

If you have a rose bud tip, then you can use this torch. The torch body is all one piece, and it is awesome for cutting. I particularly like the two knob adjustments

The torch appears to be a good one. A hole is in the handle. It looked like it was made of plastic at first. However, the handle is made of metal. A good balance is achieved between the feel and the balance. Time will tell how well it holds up over the long run.
