Is there a Flashback Arrestor built into the torch?

It does not come with flashback arrestors built in, as stated in the previous answer. Over the knobs is a white sticker that warns, "Do not use with external flashback arrestors". You see what you think are backflow check valves on the bottom of the mixing handle, but they are actually backflow checks. Oxygen will no longer back up into the acetylene hose due to the oxygen valves, but they will not prevent flashback.

The company is based in the US, but is this kit made in the US as well?

In fact, the Forney torch kit is no longer produced in the United States.

Is the light in a garage too dim for the goggles to be seen through?

An oxyfuel application calls for a shade 5 of these goggles. It can be more difficult to see in low-lit areas, but it should not pose a problem as long as the equipment is used accordingly. My sincere gratitude goes out to you.

There are two descriptions of this kit. One says that it has 12 1/2 feet of hose, and the other says 20 feet. Can you tell me the length of the hose?

Approximately 1/4" x 15' is the diameter of the hose.

It came fast in a little bit of a torn up box, but everything inside was brand new

Forney makes good products. This torch kit came to me from the warehouse, love it, at about a 50% discount off the current price. As soon as I hooked my bottle to it, I was good to go. There was a small leak in some of my old hoses, and the covers of my regulators were broken. Being able to purchase a brand new set was satisfying. Moreover, the regulatory agencies are large enough to deal with some pretty large I cut the bolts off of a brush in one of my first jobs- A blade is held on by a hog. There are some tough bolts on that torch, and even they put it to the test. The product is highly recommended and I would buy it.

This kit includes everything I need to build an aircraft, and while I was mostly interested in the gauges, the remaining accessories will prove useful as well. There is no doubt that everything is of very high quality.
