Questions & Answers

Is it true that the 3 inch model is only 3 pounds? On the 3 inch, how tall is it from the bottom to the work surface?

These angle clamps are made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and weigh just over 14 pounds. each. They stand about 3" tall overall, with a 1" jaw. 5" high. Made in India, they appear to be well-machined and "square."

Is the push area in the flat front "V" nose supposed to be open or closed? When welding, this is a consideration because spatter will collect inside. ?

Although it is open, splatter was not an issue for me.

Is it true that the 3 inch model is only 3 pounds? On the 3 inch, how tall is it from the bottom to the work surface?

Mine are probably 20 cents a piece, and they're built to leak a brick. $ house. I am very pleased with mine.

Is it true that the $69.00 includes two (2) welding clamps? Is it possible that I'm missing something with the two?

This is simply a single large corner clamp, similar to the smaller ones available at Lowes (I ordered the 4", which is enormous). They're talking about it being able to hold two pieces together at a 90-degree angle. If you haven't seen them before, the moving part swings from side to side, allowing for two different sizes of pieces. There is no quick release button on this one.

Clamps that are far more valuable than the price you pay! Wheat State Welding LLC in Derby, Kansas, is owned and operated by me
5/5

I purchased four of these clamps and plan to purchase more in the future. All I have to say is that they are absolutely fantastic; they do exactly what they say they will do, and they do it exceptionally well. With the exception of the items listed below, I have almost nothing negative to say about them. br>br>Their size is much larger than it appears when you order them, and they have significantly more capacity than stated. Although it's fantastic, the nut where the acme screw tightens up could use a better screw and better hardware. There are some manufacturing tolerances in there that are a little sloppy. br>br>While it isn't a flaw, it would be ideal if these clamps were a little taller, say twice as tall. When clamping tubing that is more than 2 inches tall, I find that it tends to lean in strange directions. The bottom side is always a perfect fit, but as you get closer to the top, it starts to lean away from the clamp, so you end up trying to square your tubing to the other part to counteract the lien and then tack it together with a big pipe wrench or something. Overall, I don't think it's a bad product, and I believe that anyone who purchased it and used it for its intended purpose would be completely satisfied. You can't beat it for the price; they appear to be made of ductile iron and have a machined finish, indicating that someone squared them up and finished them with an end mill and did a fairly good job. I would have gladly paid $60 or $70 for this clamp, but anyone could get a great deal for the $40 I paid. In conclusion, if you need a corner clamp, this is the one to get.

For a reasonable price, a good corner vise is available
5/5

The majority of other heavy duty corner vises for sale on Amazon are significantly more expensive ($169). 00 and up ) This is a sturdy, square vise that can hold up to 4 inches in diameter. On first glance, I'm pleased. I'm going to test it out, and if I find any issues, I'll make changes and let you know. These photographs, I believe, will serve as a useful resource for you. I'll order three more if the quality is confirmed after I weld with it.

It appeals to my tastes
4/5

I wanted to give it five stars, but the handle's small nut was slightly loose, and it sheared off the first time I used it. The bar is made of a light alloy, so cutting new threads and reinstalling it was a breeze. It's also unimportant because you can use anything that fits in the hole to replace it. br>br>However, given how nice the rest of the corner vise is, using such a light duty bar to tighten the vise appears to be a shame. Of course, not everyone has a 1/2 20 die on hand, though if you're purchasing this, you probably do. Regardless, for the price, this is an excellent purchase. I started by putting a couple of 4 x 4 1/4 square tubes in the vise and welding them together as if I knew what I was doing. br>br>The vise kept them nice and tight, which meant that even a bad welder like me didn't have to worry about them pulling out of square due to my lack of skill. br>br>I would recommend this vise to anyone welding square tube or even wood that needs to be squared up and dried square.

Father's Day As the title suggests, I recently purchased both 3" and 4", Father Son
5/5

Wow, these are massive and perfectly angled. The 3" can hold 3 1/8" of liquid, while the 4" can hold 4 5/8". Two of the photos show the flat push nose's open end, where I applied some tip dip (anti-slip). In this area, there is a spatter product - To keep your tools in good working order, you must plan ahead! I would suggest it.

This clamp is fantastic! This clamp is fantastic! It appears to be well-made and heavy-duty, with precise angles that can accommodate a wide range of stock sizes
5/5

The t handle and screw appear to be underbuilt, but this is only to hold things in place while welding, not to clamp down with herculean force! Even with regular use, I don't see any issues. I'll be ordering the 4" model if they ever come back into stock.

Clamp is fantastic
5/5

It does exactly what it says. It clamps 90-degree joints firmly. The horse stall gates I built are square. It's worth noting that the smaller model won't fit 2 inch square tubing.

On the 90-degree joint, there is a spot
5/5

This clamp was used to make a T out of 20" 2x3 and 72" 3x2 rectangular steel. I was able to perfectly clam and center the 3x2. Although the cut on the 72" tube was not perfect, I trusted the clamp and tacked/welded everything together. With the help of some calipers, I was able to get a reading of 90. The temperature is 0 degrees.

Value Clamp, which is only $45 but is worth $150
5/5

What else can I say? At first glance, this is incredible, and at $45, it's a no-brainer. Other clamps I've seen go for as much as $170. The clamp weighs about 25 pounds and has a 4-inch opening, which surprised me. 5 inches. If you have a long piece to clamp from the ground to where the metal will be placed, 1. 25 inches in length.
