Selected User Reviews For Gimiton 800 Amp Arc Welding Ground Clamp Manual Welder Earth Ground Cable Copper Grip Clip Clamp Heavy Duty (800A)
The quality of the product is poor. Despite being marketed as 800 amp clamp, the copper lug on the back is only In my 140amp clamp, the gauge is heavier than that, since it is 0. 25 thick and 3/8 wide. Additionally, the jaws of the clamp do not line up straight. They are about 75% off center. The ground strap inside the jaw is about 6 gauge, which is not even close to what it would require for this amperage level. A lot of effort is required to open it all the way by hand since the clamp spring is too heavy.
An unstamping steel clamp is lighter gauge than an unstamping steel clamp. A severe misalignment of the jaws is present. Not of the quality you might expect from TWECO. You get what you pay for. It works, but is poorly constructed.
Considering the price, these are a good choice. If you don't plan to use these often, and only need them a few times, these work well. They aren't the strongest, but for the price I know that is what you should expect. I'd recommend them to someone who only needs them when necessary A rule not to be followed always.
The spring was very strong.
I would say that the product meets the description and is a very good value for money.
In other words, Ground clamps are what they are it is what it is what it does what it is supposed to do, and that is.
